The following letter-form was brought about as a means of teaching my children the Word of God through the mail. And of course, quite naturally so, that’s the reason I begin these letters with "Dear Children" and end them with "Love Dad". So for the rest of you who participate in these weekly messages, please keep their original intended purpose in mind.
23 September, 2001
Dear Children,
God Bless America... and He will, if we'll only let Him!
So where were you on the 11th of September when the horrible news came out concerning the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? Well believe it or not but I was on a Sun Metro city bus, right in the middle of the U.S. Army's Fort Bliss, when the lady next to me received a call on her cell phone announcing the unimaginable death and destruction. And what was my reaction?
Well before we go there, aren’t you even the least bit interested in why I was on a Sun Metro city bus right in the middle of Fort Bliss? I mean the Sun Metro is really not my choice of travel, and I’ve already been there and done that when it comes to the military. You see I was on my way to the State Farm Insurance office, so that the nice lady (Martha) could notarize our last sermonet on Photosynthesis: The Key To Both This Life And The Next!, and it just so happens that the military base was on that bus route.
So that’s half the story... and now for the rest. Because the reason I wasn’t driving my little Toyota pick-up truck was because it wasn’t in any condition to be driven. I mean it was in such bad shape that the insurance company actually declared it a total loss. And how do you figure it got so "all bent-out-of-shape"?
Well you see the way it all happened was on the 31st of August, while on my way to Dr. King’s office (dermatologist), I kinda like mysteriously got involved in a four (4) car pile-up on I-10. Can you imagine that? I mean here I am with no job, no wife, no family, living on credit, and I wreck my one and only truck. So with all that running through my little old mind I immediately shouted out "why me Lord?"
That was my prayer! And believe it or not but it was only a second or two later that the Lord gave me His answer of "everything’s going to be all right"... and of course He was right! Because as unorthodox (non-kosher) as it might seem, this was just one of the many mysterious ways God has taken care of my needs, for the last two and a-half years, just as He promised, until I get back my job back with The Toro Company. You see the way it’s worked out is that I’m getting my truck back on the road (without a paint job) and the rest of the insurance money will be used to keep a roof over my head and food on the table for just a little while longer. God is good... all the time!
And now that you know why I was where I was when I heard about the "Attack On America", let me answer the question of "what was my reaction?" Because you see for many months now the Lord has been enlightening me on one particular Scripture as found in Hebrews 12:25-29. And even though I could launch right on into a full-fledged sermonet on these five short verses I won't. However, what you will find in this Scripture is my reaction, in the Words of God, concerning America's most recent "trembling" experience: "See that ye refuse not him [Jesus] that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him [Jesus] that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him [Jesus] that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire."
So do you understand what it all means? Well the way God’s "shaking" thing works is that it starts-out in the world around us and ends-up inside everyone who hasn’t been made "unshakable" by the Light of His Sun (human photosynthesis). It’s what’s better known as a "wake-up call for unbelievers". Because the truth of the matter is that the child of God, who has earnestly sought God the Father through prayer and a study of His Word, and has likewise obeyed Him regardless of the consequences, will not be "shaken" when God does His "shaking". And the understanding of how this all takes place inside the human body is exactly where we’re headed in this long running series of How Do You Want Your Fire... Now Or Later?
However, getting back to the part about "shaking" the "unbelievers", it was only a few years ago that a bone-rattling prophesy was given during a Jimmy Swaggart service that kinda like sheds a little more Light on our most recent Attack On America... and here it is:
A GREAT SHAKING!
In a little while saith the Lord
And there shall be a great shaking.
For I will shake the heavens,
I will shake the earth,
I will shake the dry land,
And I will shake the sea.
I will shake all nations saith the Lord!
The desire of all nations shall come before the Lord God.
The Lord your God shall shake like never before!
I will shake the doctrines of men,
I will shake man’s religion to the very core,
And the purpose that my True Church might come forth.
I will separate the tares from the wheat saith the Lord,
The True Church of the Living God shall come forth.
The manifestations of the sons of God shall come forth in this earth
Saith the Lord your God!
Now you’ll have to admit that even though the events of 9/11/01 were horrible beyond compare, they’re actually only a gentle nudge when compared to the predictions you’ve just read. In fact to help you understand how the destruction of the World Trade Center’s "Twin Towers" and the damaged Pentagon fit in with God’s predicted "shaking", let me share with you what He’s shown me.
The very first of God’s "Ten Commandments", as outlined in Exodus chapter 20, pretty much covers the bases for the remaining nine. In other words if you obey "numero uno" you’re going to obey the remaining nine. And just what is this single most powerful command of God? Would you believe "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
That’s what Father God demands, and now let me introduce you to America’s gods of "wealth and strength". Without a doubt, what use to be the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center was a fully functional symbolic representation of America’s ability to make money. God Almighty has blessed our Great Nation with wealth and prosperity, and in-turn we’ve made His "blessings" our "god". So just as a gentle reminder that America shalt have no other gods before Him, God Almighty has allowed our symbolic "gods of wealth" to be destroyed right before our very eyes. And of course the same holds true when it comes to America’s strength. God has blessed our Great Nation with the finest military in the world, but we’ve turned from the "Giver of our strength" and worshipped the "gift". So as a gentle reminder that America shalt have no other gods before Him, God Almighty has allowed our symbolic "god of strength" to be severely damaged right before our very eyes.
So are you starting to see how this "shaking" thing works? Almighty God allows the little gods to either be destroyed or badly damaged so that the unbelieving people will be shaken to the point of turning back to Him. In other words, when it comes to the "human body and sin", if you’re an unbeliever who gets shook, it’s really the best thing that can ever happen to you! And why do I say that?
Well it all goes back to our sermonet Possessed By The Spirit? (part V of How Do You Want Your Fire... Now Or Later?). In that message we uncovered the fact that the human brain stem has the ability to take control of the human’s "thinking" in such a way that "wrong" miraculously becomes "right". It’s what’s better known as the "yoke of sin", and it all takes place in the brain stem’s hypothalamus. And it was in the very next sermonet Naturally Dead Until Spiritually Alive! that we took this "wrong thinking" stuff to a new level through the understanding that the human soul (body-soul-spirit) can also become "spiritually deaf" to the Voice of God as a result of sin. In other words it’s because of sin that the brain stem’s hypothalamus gets taught "wrong" is "right", and from there on out it just flat-out refuses to hear The Truth from God Almighty. It’s what you might want to call "Hell-bound and full speed ahead!"
However, even though humans have gotten so helplessly hopelessly "yoked up with sin" that even the Voice of God can’t get through to them, there is still hope... because you see the hypothalamus has got this one more really big quirk (idiosyncrasy). The way it works is that whenever too much really bad information comes into the human body from the outside world (through the sensors of the eyes, ears, mouth, and skin), the sinfully hardheaded hypothalamus kinda like gets so frustrated with all the confusion that it finally decides to listen to whatever the brain has to say. And it’s right about here that God’s "shaking" has miraculously unlocked the unbeliever’s hypothalamus so that The Truth of God might be finally heard. Understand?
Well the hypothalamus is a very deep subject, and lots more needs to be said for a proper understanding, but that’s as far as were going to take it for now. However... the bottom line of what we’ve been discussing is that the "shaking" of "unbelievers" is allowed by God so that they can hear The Truth, believe The Truth, and thereby escape the everlasting fires of Hell. And it’s right about here that the religious world has to be "shook" so that the unbelieving people, who’re now finally able to hear, can be told The Truth. It’s called God’s "shaking" of the "religions and doctrines".
Sounds pretty incredible, huh? Well seeing how "religions and doctrines" is such a very deep subject, why don’t I start this one off by giving you a real-life example of how it all works. You see there’s a man, who’s name I won’t mention just yet (Mr. Sam Moore), who is the CEO of a major "Christian" publishing company (Thomas Nelson Publishing), who claims the name of Jesus, but yet He really doesn’t "know" Jesus. He’s an unbeliever and he doesn’t even know it! And it’s because of the fact that He doesn’t know Jesus, that a lot of the stuff he’s printing is really not God’s Truth (see Read'n Grow Picture Bible). So as God would have it, we’ve been chosen to hopefully help him see The Light like he’s never seen it before. In fact the way Father God tuned me in on this CEO’s problem was through the following Scripture: "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of host. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?" (Malachi 3:7)
You see what this Holy Scripture describes is what happens to Christians who’re taught the lies of Satan instead of The Truth of Jesus. I mean it might start out with only a very few Believers becoming unbelievers, but it’s only a matter of time before you’ve got whole bunches of Christian folks with their hypothalamus believing lies to be The Truth. So, as you can well imagine, it’s this bunch of "unbelieving Christians", who eventually infect other Christians, such as the CEOs of Christian publishing companies, who then infect a whole bunch more by mass producing Satan’s lies in Christian books and Bibles. And of course when the world gets flooded with all this Christian material full of lies, it all-the-sudden becomes very hard for these "unbelievers", who’ve finally had their hypothalamus "shaken" to the core, to become a Believer through The Truth. I mean what I’m trying to say is that in these last days God’s Truth has become as scarce as hen’s teeth!
And having said all that, we can now look at what God’s gotta "shake" (the "religions and doctrines") in order for the "shaken unbelievers" to hear The Truth and become Believers. In fact a very good example of God’s "shaking in the church" was pointed out in our sermonet Ungodly: Andrea Yates And Mike Mason (CEO of Weather-Matic)!... and it was likewise done through the following God-chosen Scripture: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator." (I Peter 4:17-19)
Now the place Peter is "taking us" with this Scripture is exactly where we’re "headed to" in this week’s sermonet of Pastor Tom Brown’s Fear! You see what Peter has given us is the formula for removing the sin in our sin-filled bodies so that we won’t be "shaken" when God’s terrible "shaking" begins. In other words, in order to be a "certified child of God" we can’t be shook by the shaking. In fact this process of removing the sin that causes us to shake is actually what’s better known as the "sanctification process". And the way it all works is that Father God, knowing each and every sin entangled in our sin-filled bodies, is able to direct His Son the Doctor to surgically remove these perverted growths with His Holy Ghost Scalpel. However, the way this Heaven-sent operation is carried-out would not be considered as "standard procedure" by any stretch of the imagination.
You see the way it works is that the sin in our bodies is removed through our obedience to "The Gospel", which is actually nothing less than God’s Word spoken through His Son Jesus Christ. In other words it’s God’s Word that’s specifically designed to remove our individual sins. So as we receive His Word, and obey it, the Holy Spirit slowly but surely removes the sin mess that’s all tangled-up inside of us. However, the one thing we must always keep in mind is that this Heaven-sent operation does not come without much pain and suffering. In fact "sanctification" is the process by which a Jesus-believing Christian willingly crucifies his or her own flesh by walking out in faith and obeying each and every Word from God. It’s called "dying to the flesh" and "being born of The Spirit". So without a doubt the "real Christian" will suffer in order to obey God’s Word (faith in The Gospel)... and they’ll do it "come Hell or high water"!
And having said all that, let’s get back to our main topic of Pastor Tom Brown’s Fear! by kinda like backing on into it in reverse. Because you see it was back on the 12th of September, 2001, that I got the following e-mail from Pastor Tom Brown (Word Of Life Church) of El Paso, Texas:
Hi,
Everyone is thinking about the catastrophe of the World Trade Center. My heart goes out to the families and victims. I also know many believers are perplexed about these events. So I have written a short article meant to encourage your faith. I trust you will find my message uplifting. You can read it by clicking http://tbm.org/fear_in_the_last_days.htm
"Lift up your heads, your redemption draws near."
Tom Brown
Now without getting into too much detail, what I found in Pastor Tom Brown’s message of Fear In The Last Days was what prompted me to name this sermonet Pastor Tom Brown’s Fear! Because iffin we can get God’s Word through to him, as God has intended, he’ll have a new fear of God that’ll change his "Word Of Faith" preaching forever.
But anyway, after having read-over and prayed-over what he wrote, the following e-mail was what I sent back to him:
Dear Pastor Brown,
I read your article, and I've likewise got a question concerning your statement "We can pray to get rapture or if you believe you will go through the tribulation, you will be protected from the things that will happen." Is there really more than One Way?
What's your Spirit-led understanding of Revelation 3:10?
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce
Now notice that I asked Pastor Tom Brown two specific questions. The first was "Is there really more than one way?", and the second was "What’s your Spirit-led understanding of Revelation 3:10?", and the following was his reply:
Hi Bruce,
I placed that sentence so as not to offend anyone, what was important is that we shall escape whether by rapture or by victory. Personally, I believe the rapture takes place at the second coming of Christ, not before the tribulation.
Tom Brown
So did Pastor Brown answer both of my questions? Well kinda sorta, but in a very wishy washy way. You see Pastor Tom Brown’s gospel is what’s better known as the "middle of the road gospel", and it ain’t a gonna save anyone... which even includes the Pastor! And having said all that, let me invite you to read his "compromised gospel" in his article Fear In The Last Days. However, if you don’t have the time, or just don’t want to, here’s the part of his message that really made my hair stand on end: "Praise God! It is totally scriptural to pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen. Some people think is it inevitable that earthquakes, famines, pestilences, and wars will harm all the people on the earth. It won’t. The book of revelation only mentions that one-third of the people will be harmed in the great tribulation. That leaves most of the people free from disaster. We can pray to get rapture or if you believe you will go through the tribulation, you will be protected from the things that will happen. We need to have faith for the last days. Jesus said, "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8). Jesus is interested in whether or not we have faith when He comes—not if we have the right eschatology. He wants us to have faith. The opposite of faith is fear. So many believers are running in fear. They do not know what will happen to their lives."
So do you see what I mean? Well as I hope you’ll see pretty shortly, Pastor Tom Brown’s faith is in "The Word Of Faith Error". And the facts are that if you’re believing in that particular lie of Satan (The Word Of Faith Error) you can pray until your hair turns blue and still bust Hell wide open. However, spouting-off about Pastor Brown’s "religion and doctrines from Hell" won’t do much good... so what do you say we just bog-it-on-down with the specifics?
And the specifics that we’ll start with first is Pastor Tom Brown’s comment on the word "eschatology", which in itself is just a big word for the doctrines that deal with "last things" such as death, resurrection, judgment, and immortality. Pastor Brown says it doesn’t matter what "gospel" you believe-in as long as you have faith in whatever it is you believe. Now without getting into a full-blown discussion on the rapture, the fact is that God’s Word (His Gospel) is undeniably clear in explaining why Real Christians will be taken up to Heaven before the terrible torture of The Tribulation Period actually takes place on earth. In fact if you care to read what the Lord gave me concerning Revelation 3:10, please check out our sermonet entitled Pastor Stephens And The Rejected Word From God! It all relates to the "human body and sin" and why the Real Christians will not need to go through the "great time of shaking" because the things which can be shaken are no longer a part of them (Hebrews 12:27). The Tribulation Period is God’s final effort to wake-up the most stubborn and hardheaded hypothalamus... and it will be nothing short of a living, screaming, Hell on earth.
Now having said all that, we can go on into Pastor Brown’s statement "Jesus is interested in whether or not we have faith when He comes — not if we have the right eschatology"... and look at how he’s applied it to his Luke 18:8 reference Scripture: "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Because you see the truth of the matter is that the Pastor twisted and distorted this Scripture on "faith", in one more unbelievable way, just so it would fit-in with his "Word Of Faith" perverted gospel.
I mean let me show you what I mean. The Scripture actually reads "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" And the "nevertheless" connects Jesus’ thoughts back with the parable He’d just given in verses 1-7 concerning how God Almighty would always take care of the enemies of God’s chosen people. In other words if we really want to be a child of God (have faith in God) there ain’t nobody going to stop us... because God Almighty is on our side. However, it’s the "nevertheless" that kinda like sets the stage for what follows as Jesus continues with His message on "faith". You see even though there is no real good reason why anybody should die lost, and likewise burn in Hell for ever and ever, most people will. And of course the reason they will is not because of their enemies but because of their "faith".
Now before we finish-up on the topic of "faith", what do you say we take care of "when the Son of Man cometh" first. Because you see it’s by the time of Jesus’ Second Coming (when the Son of Man cometh) that the "believing Christians" will have already been raptured away to Heaven, leaving all the unbelievers (whether Christian or not) to go through "some of" if not "all of" the seven years of Hell on earth called The Tribulation Period. And even though there will be some unbelievers who’s hypothalamus gets shook to the point of accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, it’s during this tormenting period of time that most of those who get converted will lose their heads as a result of it. I mean contrary to Pastor Brown’s "anyway-you-want-it type of gospel", if you don’t want to go through the pain of being a Real Christian now, just think how bad it’s going to be then! So you see there will not be much faith on earth at the time of His Second Coming because the price for receiving it will most often be the Believers life!
And now that we’ve established the phrase "anyway-you-want-it type of gospel" let’s get back to Luke 18 and the word "faith". Because if you follow through with chapter 18 you’ll get a much better understanding of "real faith" through Jesus’ parables, and likewise the suffering that must go along with it.
Now even though "the parable of the Pharisee and the publican" really does a nice job on shooting down the "anyway-you-want-it type of gospel", we just don’t have the time to go through it. So moving on down to "the parable of the rich young ruler" in verses 22-23, we find Jesus defining what "Real Faith" in the "Real Gospel" actually is: "Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful, for he was very rich."
You see the "Real Gospel" are the "Words of Jesus" that are specifically designed to get the sin out of our individual sin-filled bodies. And it’s through the hearing of His specific Word to us, and obedience to His specific Word to us, that the miraculous born-again transformation occurs in us through our suffering (human photosynthesis): "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:... Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator." (I Peter 4:17-19)
However, in "the parable of the rich young ruler" we find that the Words of Jesus, that were specifically designed to overcome the rich young ruler’s sinful flesh, were just too hard for him to obey. In other words, the rich young ruler decided that the amount of suffering (Real Faith) required in order for him to obey Jesus’ Words (Real Gospel) was just too much to pay. You might say that he "just said no" to Jesus’ offer of Salvation!
And with all of that in mind, let’s get back to the subject of Pastor Tom Brown and his fear. Because you see it was on the 3rd of July, 2001, that our correspondence actually all got started... which would eventually lead up to this sermonet of today. But anyway, here’s the e-mail that started uncovering The Truth of what Pastor Tom Brown should be fearing:
Dear Pastor Brown,
I watch your show almost every week, and it was after last night's that I took you up on the invitation to view the video on your site. I must say that your presentation came across very nicely. To God be all the glory!
I saw you not too long ago at the Jesse Duplantis meetings in El Paso, and I've also heard you speak of your association with Kenneth Copeland. I respect your knowledge of the Word of God so if you don't mind please help me out on a Word of Faith doctrine. Do you believe as they that Jesus' Spirit was tormented in Hell for three days and nights in order to pay the sin debt of the world?
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce Hallman
And now for his reply of July 11:
Hi Bruce,
Sorry it took so long to respond, but I was on vacation with my family. I'm glad you liked the MSNBC special on exorcism. I answer your question in detail at http://tbm.org/jesussuffershell.htm.
Click it and read it.
Tom Brown
And my reply of July 16:
Dear Pastor Brown,
I read what you wrote on Jesus suffering in Hell, and I do believe the Lord gave you Leviticus 16 in response to your seeking the Truth on this subject, however you have not understood it's meaning as God intended.
First of all let me tell you a little about myself. Several years ago the Lord made me a few very big promises concerning my life and ministry... but there was a very big "if" attached to it. The Lord said that if I would be willing to give up everything for Him He would in turn give me the desires of my heart concerning the FMH Children's Club Ministries. In fact the Lord went on to say that I would have to trust Him to the point of walking up to the edge of one of those Grand Canyon cliffs, and, after having heard His command to do so, step out into thin air fully expecting Him to provide the ground for my feet to walk on.
Well since then I've lost my position as an Engineering Manager (no job), I've used up all my retirement (no money), my wife has taken the children and filed for divorce (no family), but I've been truly blessed. Because as the Lord has taken me through this unimaginable gut wrenching period in my life He has also showed me why it's all a necessary part of my spiritual growth when it comes to the human body overcoming sin.
In fact it was a little over a year ago that the Lord told me to write a sermonet series on the human body and sin (How Do You Want Your Fire... Now Or Later?). He told me that I was to compare the Old Testament "animal sacrifices" to the New Testament "water and fire baptism".
Well I didn't have the foggiest idea what He was trying to tell me until He started opening up the Scriptures to me. You see where we're headed with this revelation is an understanding of how Jesus defeated sin at the Cross, and it gets down to the basic cell metabolism of the human body. So you see all the blood and gore of the animal sacrifices (the innerd fat [lipid], kidneys, and etc.) really detail how Jesus did what He did on the Cross... and it's the blood and water that flowed from His side that proves He was without sin when He said "it is finished".
But anyway, are you willing to stand up against all the high profile preachers and rebuke their false teachings if the Lord opens up the Truth to you?
I invite you to our Web Site (http://www.fmh-child.org) and the Sermonet of The Week entitled "The Word Of Faith Error..."
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce
And his reply of July 16:
Bruce,
I read your email. And I can tell you confidently that God never told you to jump off a cliff. That is similiar to what Satan told Jesus, and it is clear Satan told you that. You need to rebuke Satan's thoughts. They seem to be bombarding you.
Tom Brown
With my final reply to him on July 17:
Dear Pastor Brown,
You're right! The Lord never told me to jump off of a cliff... He only said that I must have the kind of faith that would allow me to do it if He ever requested it of me. I mean after all, Abraham was commanded by God to kill his very own son Isaac. I will not blaspheme God by rejecting His Word and calling it Satan's.
And as for the question "are you willing to stand up against all the high profile preachers and rebuke their false teachings if the Lord opens up the Truth to you?", should I assume that when it comes to the "Jesus died spiritually doctrine" the answer is no? This kinda like goes along with what Stanley prophesied back in 1965 (http://www.fmh-child.org/oncesaved.html).
By the way, I really enjoyed your show last night (Job - Who Is Good?). What the Lord gave you fits very well with what He's giving me on the "human body and sin". The airing of that message was what you call "God's perfect timing".
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce Hallman
So, as you can see from all our e-mail correspondence, it seemed pretty obvious that Pastor Tom Brown wasn’t about to change his beliefs. In fact it was about the time I got his last e-mail that I had pretty much decided to just leave him alone and let him continue believing-in his damnable "Word Of Faith" lie. I mean after all, it’s his problem and not mine!
And that’s the way I felt about it... that is until Sunday the 16th of September, when the Lord gave me His command to write this sermonet based on I Corinthians chapter 4. So, taking into consideration everything that’s already been said (written), the following is specifically what God Almighty has to say to Pastor Tom Brown in I Corinthians 4:
"Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not my own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."
So what do you figure those verses mean, as it might apply to Pastor Brown? Well the Word of God, with it’s original intended purpose being that of initiating and directing the Believer’s suffering in order to remove their sinful flesh, is not a popular Gospel when it comes to the human understanding. It just flat-out doesn’t make good sense that a Believer in The Crucified Christ should have to suffer too! I mean Jesus has already died in the flesh to sin, been buried in the flesh, and likewise been resurrected in His Unshakable Unsinable Glorified Body... so just why in the round world should His followers have to do the same?
Well even though our suffering as a Believer can not take the place of what Jesus did on The Cross, it’s because of the way our human bodies are made that we’ve also got to be willing to suffer in order to get-out the sin. Jesus suffered and died for our sins so that the Holy Spirit could perform His clean-up operation inside of us. And when it comes to the specific Word of God that’s going to direct His sin-removing operation, it’s the responsibility of those who’ve been given The Word to communicate it in it’s unaltered Truth... and even though it might bring about rejection and persecution on them. Because the truth of the matter is that The Truth (The Gospel) is a mystery to the human understanding, which can only be accepted by Believers who fully trust in and have faith in what Jesus did at The Cross.
So after having said all that, who in their right mind would ever want to become a minister of The Gospel? I mean when you preach God’s Word, the way He demands it to be preached, the results are going to be that a whole bunch of folks are going to really hate your insides (guts)! But hold on just a cotton-picking minute! Why not make everybody happy by preaching a gospel without any pain and suffering? You know something like a "Word Of Faith" gospel where you can name-it-and-claim-it and tell God what you want. I mean why obey His One True Gospel and suffer?
Well to tell you the truth, a few of them at the Church of Corinth kinda like tried that... and then it became Brother Paul’s delegated responsibility to try and deal with it. Because you see the way the human body works is that when "the lie" is presented as "The Truth", the human who believes in that lie, whether it be the one giving it or receiving it, kinda like gets all blowed-up with hot air. It’s typical of what the leaven does to bread (you get lots of air with very little bread), and it really and truly takes place inside the human body. So you see when the Word Of Faith’s "feel good gospel" gets preached, everybody gets all puffed-up in the flesh instead of dying to it: "And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?"
So seeing how it’s Paul’s responsibility to let the air out of these puffed-up "Word Of Faith" folks, he kinda like just lays out The Truth for all of them to see: "Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you. For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ: we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day."
I mean it was only a few years ago that the Good Lord made it very clear to me that my everlasting "life in Heaven" depended on me becoming a "fool for Jesus" while "on this earth". He made no bones about it when He said that I must crucify my flesh by walking in complete obedience to His Word... and that’s exactly what I’ve done. Without a doubt it has been extremely painful on my part, but then again I now "know" Jesus like I’ve never known Him before. He’s removing the sin in me that "can be shaken" in order to replace it with His Holy Spirit that "cannot be shaken"... and this is exactly what the real born-again experience is all about.
You cannot kill-off the sinful flesh by giving it what it wants, and that’s exactly why Paul goes on to say: "I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?"
The gospel being preached by Pastor Tom Brown and his Word Of Faith friends is not The Gospel of Jesus Christ that saves souls from Hell. There is no Sin-killing Power of the Holy Spirit in the Word Of Faith gospel but instead only "words of men" that will steal, kill, and destroy the lives of all who believe it. Fear God Pastor Brown: "For our God is a consuming fire"! Please turn back to The Truth so that you and your congregation can Keep The Faith In Jesus!!!
(Note: On the 21st of October the Lord commanded me to send the following e-mail to Pastor Tom Brown as a P.S. to this sermonet.)
Dear Pastor Brown,
The Lord wanted me to relate this to you as a follow-up to our FMHCCI sermonet on I Corinthians 4:
"These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lust; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage." (Jude 1:16)

Subject: Can Christians Remarry?
Hi,
Cassandra emailed me with the question about remarriage, and she wanted to know if Christians could remarry. Many others have asked me this question as well, and so I thought you would be interested in my scriptural insights into this important topic that affects millions of divorced Christians. To read my answer click the following URL: http://tbm.org/is_remarriage_permitted.htm
I would love to hear your comments about my answer. God bless you.

Dear Pastor Brown,
The Lord gave me a directive Sunday night (12/2/01) through the Scripture of II Timothy 3:5 — "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
Please remove me from your mailing list... you are an "apostate preacher" at best.
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce Hallman

Subject: Merry Christmas
Hi,
A minister waited in line to have his car filled with gas just before a long holiday weekend. The attendant worked quickly, but there were many cars ahead of him in front of the service station. Finally, the attendant motioned him toward a vacant pump.
"Reverend," said the young man, "sorry about the delay. It seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long trip."
The minister chuckled, "I know what you mean. It's the same in my business."
Please don’t wait to the last minute to get right with God. Do it if you haven’t already.
I wanted to wish you a very, merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I believe for your safety on any trip you might make on this holiday season.
Your friendship and partnership over the Internet has meant so much to me. Because of you, the Internet is now my biggest outreach. I receive around 200,000 visitors a year. Thank you for spreading the word about my site.
If there is anything I could do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. Again, God bless you and have a great year.

Dear Pastor Brown,
On the 4th of December I sent you an e-mail requesting that I be taken off your mailing list. However, seeing how the opportunity has presented itself, please allow me to respond to your request of "If there is anything I could do for you, please do not hesitate to ask."
Because you see it's through your recent e-mail that I believe we've uncovered the big snake in your ministry... and it's called the "numbers game." You see the way it all works is that the preacher gets so involved with the "growth" of his ministry that he preaches whatever the people want to hear so they'll just keep right on coming back.
In fact King David had to find out the hard way just how much Almighty God hates His "chosen ones" playing the "numbers game" — "And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah... and David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the Lord, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O Lord, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee." (II Samuel 24:1-12)
Now we know from the rest of chapter 24 that the satisfaction King David got from pleasing "the people" by playing the "numbers game" was fiercely overshadowed by the resulting Wrath of God.
So, having said that, let me invite you to gain a little insight into God's present-day "numbers game" Wrath in our sermonet Perry Stone's Five Tornados! You can find it under the Sermonet Of The Week at http://www.fmh-child.org.
And now for my question. I have remained faithful in "speaking" God's Word, without compromise, through the FMHCCI Ministries. However, I too was guilty of watching the hits at our FMHCCI Web Site with multiple counters. Then it was on the 13th of December that my Heavenly Father told me to remove all of them and let Him handle the numbers. He said that it's my job to speak His uncompromised Word and it's His Job to take care of the rest. So would you please seek God in prayer as to whether He would have you do the same, and then let me know what He says?
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
Bruce
(Note: Had enough of the e-mails? Well we're not through yet. Because on the 21st of December I received Pastor Tom Brown's answer(?) to my question in the previous e-mail... and it goes like this:)

Hi Bruce,
I have no idea how you are still on the list. I always remove the individual who ask to be removed. I delete the name, and yet you keep popping up. I don't understand it. I will remove your name once again, and see what happens. One way to avoid receiving my emails is to block me. I do that for several emails, it works.

Ain't it really strange that the Pastor can't get me off of his list? Well I don't know about you, but if I was getting that kind of message from the God of the Universe I think I'd be making some mighty big changes in just "what and how" I was preaching! In fact I guess that's the very good reason Father God had us entitle this one Pastor Tom Brown's Fear!
Love,
Dad (Bruce Hallman)
