The following letter-form was brought about as a means of teaching my children the Word of God through the mail. And of course, quite naturally so, that’s the reason I begin these letters with "Dear Children" and end them with "Love Dad". So for the rest of you who participate in these weekly messages, please keep their original intended purpose in mind.

Dear Children,

In our last message – “Hip-Hop: Rapping On Into Hell!” – we kinda like jumped in on the “music scene” with both feet. I mean that was, without a doubt, one more red-hot, barn-burning sermonet! In fact by the time we (the Lord and me) got through spiritually dissecting the “music of hip-hop” through the Word of God, it was abundantly clear that this “rap” thing is nothing but “the Devil”!

So that was “in the beginning” of our sermonet series on “Music And The Devil!”, and now for part II. Because you see in today’s message – “Jimmy Swaggart And His Unholy Worship Team!” – we’re going to take a close look at some ”devilish music” that (unlike “rapping hip-hop”) sounds pretty “holy”. And to bring you up to speed with this thing about being “holy”, the following is what “Webster’s” had to say about it:

Holy - Properly, whole, entire or perfect, in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections…immaculate and complete in moral character…sanctified, or purified from evil dispositions. (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)

Now that’s what holiness is all about! And of course everyone who claims the Name of Jesus should be holy:

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48 KJV)
“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16 KJV)

So that’s what Jimmy Swaggart’s “worship team” should be…but it ain’t!!! And what better way to uncover the ugly Truth of this unholy matter than with a little JSM “insider information”. Because you see it was on 11/7/05 that I began receiving e-mails from a long-time loyal staff member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry. I mean it appears that our sermonet “Jimmy Swaggart Thinks He Has Arrived…But God’s Got An Eraser! (7/9/05)” turned on the light that allowed this dedicated JSM employee to come out of the darkness. In fact after having read it, the following is just a small sample of what he – “Brother Buffalo” – had to say about “The Swaggarts”:

Dear Bruce: I have read a few of your "sermonettes" about "The Swaggarts." I would like to communicate more with you. I don't know if the information you use for these sermonettes all is "A Word of Knowledge." Because I have quite a bit of down-to-earth, human information, and I would be willing to share it with you … I was quite comforted by your recent "Sermonette": Jimmy Swaggart thinks he's arrived, but God's got an eraser. I really must agree with you that THE MAN'S spiritual condition has greatly deteriorated in recent times… I just believed him to be a Man of God and supported his ministry heavily for many years (22), also without interruption during both of his notorious sex scandals, and actually still do. But I have been shocked, hurt, and saddened by what THE MINISTRY and THE SWAGGARTS have become (but, as stated, the signs have been there for quite some time, I just chose not to believe them; now, it seems, the Lord has rubbed my nose in it, so to speak)…THE MAN AND THE WIFE receive absolutely no correction. THE SON actually is a little better off than MAMA AND PAPA…the THREE are not what they used to be, but this state of rebellion has been going on for a VERY VERY VERY LONG TIME. I'm not sure that he's lost already, but, as stated, there is something very, very wrong here. The spirit is not "The Spirit of the LORD.”

So what did you think about that? Well that was only the beginning of what Brother Buffalo had to say about Jimmy, Frances, and Donnie Swaggart (The THREE)…and as you can see, it wasn’t very good! In fact, other than the awesome witness of the Holy Spirit, what makes Brother Buffalo so incredibly convincing is that he’s been a loyal supporter of Jimmy Swaggart and his ministry for twenty-two (22) years. I mean the man loves the Swaggarts! And even though Brother Buffalo has stood behind them as a financial contributor and ministry worker, giving them the better years of his life I might add, he is now willing to confess that something is very, very wrong in the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry, and it’s been going on for a very, very long time. Because, as Brother Buffalo put it, the spirit in Jimmy Swaggart’s Ministry is no longer “The Spirit of the Lord”!!!

Now, when you take it on down to the basics, it’s that ending statement that really “nails it” on the present-day status of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry. And seeing how we’re on the subject of the spirit in the Ministry of Jimmy Swaggart, it’s time for a quote from Jimmy Swaggart’s very own grandson (and Crossfire Youth Ministry pastor), Gabriel Swaggart:

“Everything of consequence that happens on this Earth is introduced, first of all, in the spirit world. This particular world, one might say, consists of “The Kingdom of Heaven,” or “The Kingdom of Light,” and “the kingdom of darkness.” While God controls all things, His control is carried out according to the time period in discussion, and with the understanding that the kingdom of darkness stands in opposition. Even though this does not stop the Plan of God, it does delay that plan.” (Gabriel Swaggart – The Evangelist, July 2006)

So, just what is this “Plan of God” that gets delayed as a result of the spiritual opposition from the “kingdom of darkness”? Well the following Scripture gives us the answer, and it’s called “The End”:

“Then cometh the end, when he [Jesus] shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he [Jesus] shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he [Jesus] must reign, till he [Jesus] hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:24-26 KJV)

You see “in the beginning” God Almighty created the “man” to worship Him and live forever in “The Kingdom of Heaven”…but He also gave the man (and the woman that was made from him and for him) the option of “not” worshiping Him if they so desired. It’s called “free will”: pick and choose which God (god) you will serve. However, the ugly consequences of not worshiping the God of Creation is what’s called “sin and death”…and of course that’s what happened to the lovely couple when they became members of “the kingdom of darkness” by choosing not to obey the Almighty. In fact “one bite” was all it took for Adam and Eve to commit “the first sin” that continues to produce a world full of sinners to this very day.

In other words, Adam and Eve entered into “the kingdom of darkness” because of their sin, and produced children of “the kingdom of darkness” because of their sin, and then, because of their sin, they died! “Sin and death” became the new world order, and everlasting life in “The Kingdom of Heaven” was no more! However…God had a “Plan”!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him [Jesus] should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 KJV)

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12 KJV)

You see God Almighty offered His Son, Jesus, to a lost and dying world, to be “The Light” that will transform the “kingdom of darkness” back into His “Kingdom of Heaven” in the lives of all who receive Him (men, women, boys, and girls):

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me [Jesus].” (Acts 26:18 KJV)

And of course it’s this “good news” – whosoever believeth in Jesus won’t have to burn in Hell for all eternity – that’s called the “gospel of Jesus Christ”. And seeing how God desires that no one should perish but have everlasting life, it’s His “Plan” that everyone in the whole wide world has the opportunity to hear the gospel, and receive “The Light”, and be made part of “The Kingdom Of Heaven”. So you see once God’s Plan has been accomplished, then comes “The End”:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14 KJV)

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:49-50 KJV)

You see “The End” of the world is that place in time when the Almighty gets rid of all the wicked “trouble-makers” by throwing them into the furnace of fire to suffer an unimaginable burning torment for ever and ever and ever. God calls them “the wicked” because they oppose “The Kingdom Of Heaven” by rejecting “The Light” and influence others to do the same! In fact these wicked people, who’re controlled by the spirit of Satan, are one more big part of the spiritual opposition that continues to delay the Plan of God today!

So that’s what it takes to be one of the “bad guys” (the wicked) and walk in the “kingdom of darkness”. But let’s check out the flip side of that coin and see what it takes to be a “good guy” (the just) and walk in “The Kingdom Of Heaven”:

“…that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Colossians 1:9-14 KJV)

Now to put that in the “plain and simple”, the act of walking in “The Kingdom Of Heaven” can only come about through an acceptance of Jesus Christ as “Lord and Saviour”. He (Jesus) will save anyone (the Believer) that’s willing to let Him (Jesus) become the Lord of their life. In other words it’s all about the Believer becoming a slave to Jesus; totally turning over their life to Him by doing what He wants (the Will of the Father) and not what they want! And as the Believer walks in the “Light” of His Word, by doing the Will of the Father, he/she will be transformed from “the kingdom of darkness” into “The Kingdom Of Light” as their spirit becomes one with the Spirit of the Lord!

And having said all that, let’s get back to Brother Buffalo’s statement concerning the spirit in the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry: The spirit is not "The Spirit of the LORD.” I mean, in so many words, Brother Buffalo said that the Lord was there twenty-two (22) years ago, but He ain’t there now! And to give you a glimpse of what he’s talking about, the following “words of Jimmy Swaggart” were taken from one of his 1986 teaching tapes. In fact it was back in 2002 that we used this same quote in our sermonet “Jimmy Swaggart’s Spiritual Adultery! (4/21/02)”…and now that I think about it, we’re dealing with this exact same issue in our message for today. But anyway, here’s what Jimmy Swaggart had to say “in the Spirit of the Lord” some twenty (20) long years ago:

(The following excerpt was taking from The Holy Spirit In The Life Of Christ [#04-062/1986] - tape #1 of the Jimmy Swaggart teaching series The Holy Spirit - Volume 2)

…In musicians, we’ve had them to come and we’ve had them to go. Scores of them; some of them with fantastic talent! We’ve had them to audition when we’ve needed particular musicians or singers, I’m talking about singers now, and, uh, they could sing. Oh my could they sing! Voice, melodious, beautiful, perfect voice control, but when they would get through I would tell Thomas "I’m sorry we don’t want them." Why? Because I saw none of Christ and all of them. You hear me? You say, "Well wouldn’t you rather have someone that couldn’t sing but Christ is expressed in them?" No, I don’t want them either! (Jimmy Swaggart laughs.) I like the Christ that’s, but I want a singer too. (Jimmy Swaggart laughs.) But they’re hard to find where Jesus is preeminent. That’s the reason God cannot use many preachers. Sounds strange doesn’t it! He cannot use many. He cannot use many people in a church, because "self will" gets in the way. Christ becomes smaller and smaller. And, and Paul said, "You Galatians, you have drifted so far away until Christ is still in you but there is no expression externally."

Now that’s what you call PREACHING! I mean twenty (20) long years ago Jimmy Swaggart not only spoke the Word of the Lord but he lived it! And as far as his claim of not using any singers on his Worship Team unless they had “the Spirit of the Lord”, well, those were the days of Thomas and Sheila Sloan, Ted Garrett, Rita King, Janet Paschal, and John Starnes (just to name a few). What anointed singers they were! I mean all of them were totally dedicated to serving Jesus with their life. And I do mean full time!

In fact all of that took place right about the time Jimmy Swaggart shook-up the world of Christian music with his 1987 publication, Religious Rock n Roll: A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. Now that was one more hard-hitting book! Talk about “Christian music and the Devil”! I mean, Jimmy told them how the cow ate the cabbage! And in the section on “Southern Gospel” (chapter 12), Jimmy even gave Janet Paschal the opportunity to reflect on her “past” with Southern Gospel, and her “present” with JSM, by speaking a few powerful truths about Spirit-filled music. And starting off with Jimmy Swaggart, here’s what they had to say:

“Janet Paschal, one of our featured soloists, probably sings to more people today than any other female singer. Yet before she joined this Ministry, Janet traveled the southern gospel music circuit for almost seven years. The following interview with Robert Paul Lamb reflects her experiences and impressions from those years ‘on the circuit’:
R.P. – Without sounding self-serving to Jimmy Swaggart or this Ministry, can you contrast the difference between what you were doing and now?
Janet – I had been acquainted with Brother Swaggart’s ministry for many years and had attended crusades some years back. But I guess I wasn’t prepared for seeing all the hungry, responsive people in the coliseums. Right away, I knew my singing material would have to be more ministry-oriented as opposed to getting people on their feet to clap, or hitting the charts with a song or pleasing producers in the studio. One of the things that impressed me with Brother Swaggart was that worldly possessions didn’t mean anything to him. I had never seen that attribute in anyone before. I had been around people who thought that was your testimony – to have cars and jewelry and things like that… When I came here, I found Brother Swaggart singing songs that are fifty years old. He’ll do the entire song in that manner, yet it will hold your attention. It might not have chord changes or nifty little runs, but it has the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I realized it didn’t take any of those changes. It simply took the anointing…I believe the reason everybody is here is because the Lord sent them. I realize this is an opportunity from the Lord and I need to make the best of it. The possibilities of reaching millions of people all over the world are just staggering…”

So that was just a small portion of what Janet Paschal had to say about the Spirit of the Lord in the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry. I mean, after all, she had been a part of the commercial-driven Southern Gospel “music business” for seven (7) long years before becoming a part of the Jimmy Swaggart Worship Team. You might even say she experienced the spiritual difference…as in a night and day difference. Because nineteen (19) years ago Jimmy Swaggart, along with his singers and musicians, allowed the Almighty to direct their music for the sole purpose of bringing souls into the Kingdom of Heaven…while the “Southern Gospel” folks performed their music to entertain the people and make them feel good. What a difference!

In fact in that same interview, Janet was given the opportunity to speak a Word into the lives of all those who might be caught up in the “big business” of Christian music. And just to show you how the “Spirit of the Lord” was in Janet, the following is her heart-felt plea to them:

“I appreciate what you are doing. I can appreciate your love for gospel music, for I too have felt that same zeal. I would like to challenge you to minister more effectively than perhaps you have ever done before. My challenge is to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your music. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct your decision-making, your arrangements, your programs, your bookings – every facet of your music ministry. Then your music will begin to touch the hearts of more people than ever before, for the Holy Spirit knows the hearts of the people to whom you sing. He can penetrate the heart, bless and uplift, convict and direct lives. I challenge you to pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit over every service, every performance, and every decision in your ministry. I challenge you to check your priorities and examine your motives, your attitudes – even your hearts – and say with David: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psa. 139:23,24).”

Now all I’ve got to say to that is “Amen Sister Janet!” I mean there’s no doubt about it; Janet was not only talking “Kingdom of Heaven” but walking in it too: “…that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing…”

So, that was just one-more mighty-fine example of Jimmy Swaggart’s holy Worship Team way back then. However, as we move forward in time we’re going to see the unholy change that Brother Buffalo spoke of: the spirit in Jimmy Swaggart’s Ministry is no longer “The Spirit of the Lord”!!!

Because you see it was on the last Sunday in 2001 (12/30/01) that the Good Lord had me to publish our first sermonet on JSM – “Jimmy Swaggart And The Accursed!” And in that message we listed five (5) members of the JSM staff who were “an accurse” to JSM because of their “spiritual darkness”. In other words they were not in “the Spirit of the Lord” because they were not willing to walk in God’s Will for their lives. And you see one (1) of the five (5) just so happened to be two (2); as in a married couple – the JSM youth pastor (Philip) and his very talented wife (Tabitha) who just so happened to be a top-notch lead singer on the JSM Worship Team. In fact the following “insider information” from Brother Buffalo confirmed God’s predicted outcome of the disobedient couple almost four (4) years after the writing of that particular sermonet:

“…Tabitha and Philip also are gone -- and no longer living together as man and wife. You wrote that Tabitha was self-willed, that the Lord wanted her and Philip to have their own Ministry…”

Now that’s kinda like putting it in the short and simple concerning “Pastor P” and “Tabitha” at JSM: they’re gone! However, in order to build this story let me give you a few more of the documented details from “Jimmy Swaggart And The Accursed!” Because you see it was back on 4/19/00 that the Lord directed me to correspond with “Pastor P” by e-mail. And the God-chosen topic of my discussion was “the suffering some children must endure because of the sins of their parents”. And little did I know it at the time but that God-chosen topic was directed at the parents (“Pator P” and Tabitha) and their children. In fact it was shortly thereafter (9/1/00 to be exact), that the Almighty instructed me to follow it up with a bomb of a Word for “Pastor P” concerned him and his wife’s refusal to obey God and leave JSM. I mean it was my delegated responsibility to tell “Pastor P” that “the Lord impressed on my heart that you are not where He wants you”. And furthermore, I even had to include that it’s because of his disobedience to the Lord that God Almighty says "I've got his number."

So just what in the world was God trying to say to “Pastor P” with that one-liner – "I've got his number"? Well I really didn’t have a clue, but Tabitha caught on pretty quick. Because it was one week after having given that Word to her husband, that Tabitha fired back at me with all her guns blazing. And the following was just a very small sample, but to the point I might add, of what she had to say to me:

“I know the lord and I truly know him and I have to say I question your prayer time and wonder who you are listening to.. THIS IS where God has us…”

Now just keep Tabitha’s statement in mind – “THIS IS where God has us” – as we proceed on with this message. Because what I’m about to show you is how Brother Swaggart’s “spiritual sensitivity” in dealing with “self-willed singers” – "I’m sorry we don’t want them" – somehow became “dull and insensitive” during the 14 year gap from the time he made that statement until this next incident with the “self-willed singer”:

I want us to pray right now for Tabitha. She has a problem in her, in her voice, and ah, but the Devil will not overcome; he will not! And I don’t want to say that the Kingdom of God needs anything, because God doesn’t really need anything, but we need her voice for the proclamation of the gospel all over this world. Hallelujah! And whenever, whenever Tabitha sings I can feel God, and there is nothing greater than that; nothing! And I want Philip to step up here please. Of course most all of you know this is her husband and I want, I want us to believe God together. He said "If any two of you will agree as touching any one thing on earth it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." Philip and I are going to touch Tabitha in this need, and you are going to agree with us — hallelujah — that she’s going to be totally and completely healed. Father (Jimmy Swaggart laughs) we ask right now for complete healing for Tabitha, we take authority over the evil one who would steal, and kill, and destroy. Satan you are defeated! And Heavenly Father, Jesus paid for this healing. It’s paid for. It’s paid for. And your Word says "By who’s stripes we were healed." In the name of Jesus we claim total and complete healing. That that goiter will dry-up, wither away, in the name of Jesus we say it, amen and amen. Praise God, ah hallelujah!

Now even though that particular Home Church Video from Family Worship Center was labeled 3/25/01, the live service from which it was recorded actually took place six (6) months earlier…right about the time God Almighty was dealing with the disobedient couple through me. In fact God Almighty was pulling out all the stops in an effort to get Tabitha to seek Him for direction. I mean, after all, what better way for the Father to get the attention of a “self-willed singer” than to take away her voice! It’s called “the hammer approach”, because that’s what it takes to get some hard-headed self-willed Christians to fall to their knees and seek the Lord’s Will for their lives!

And with that in mind, please allow me to ask a question: “Why in the round world did Jimmy Swaggart pray against the Will of the Father by asking God to heal Tabitha so that she could continue singing at JSM? Well the answer should be pretty obvious by now. I mean Tabitha could sing like none other, and Jimmy Swaggart wanted to keep her for his ministry! In fact it was back in 1986 that Jimmy Swaggart actually answered my question…he just didn’t realize it would come back and haunt him so many years later:

“…because "self will" gets in the way. Christ becomes smaller and smaller. And, and Paul said, "You Galatians, you have drifted so far away until Christ is still in you but there is no expression externally."”

You see what took place over time was that Jimmy Swaggart, slowly but surely, started doing things “his way” instead of “God’s Way”. I mean Brother Buffalo said it best – “THE MAN AND THE WIFE receive absolutely no correction”. And of course the part about “receiving no correction” even applies to Jimmy Swaggart’s relationship with God Almighty…which of course was the reason we had to write “Jimmy Swaggart Thinks He Has Arrived…But God’s Got An Eraser! (7/9/05)” and “Jimmy Swaggart REJECTS The Cross Of Christ! (3/5/06)”

In fact it was the following “self-willed” statement by Jimmy Swaggart, in the presence of Tanbitha I might add, that strongly encouraged the “self-willed singer” to continue on her “self-willed walk” of disobedience to God Almighty:

“…I don’t want to say that the Kingdom of God needs anything, because God doesn’t really need anything, but we need her voice for the proclamation of the gospel all over this world.”

Now was that a bummer of a statement or what! I mean do you remember what Gabriel Swaggart had to say in the beginning of this message? Well it went something like this: “the kingdom of darkness stands in opposition to the Plan of God”. And of course seeing how it was God’s Plan for Tabitha to leave JSM, but yet Jimmy Swaggart publicly opposed that Plan by encouraging her to stay at JSM, it can only mean that Jimmy Swaggart is a part of that “kingdom of darkness” too. In fact God calls him “wicked” because he not only opposed “The Kingdom Of Heaven/God” by rejecting “The Light” of God’s Word, but he also influenced one of his lead singers to do the same! And contrary to what Jimmy Swaggart said about “God doesn’t really need anything”, well, God does need singers who are walking in “The Light” and have “The Spirit of the Lord” to sing the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring about “The End” according to His “Plan”.

But anyway, it was only one month later that Tabitha publicly (world wide) confessed her decision to become a part of “the kingdom of darkness” by obeying the “Man of God” (Jimmy Swaggart) and disobeying “God”:

It’s good to be back, this is where I belong. God bless you everyone. (She sings.) "Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now, for He will save you, He will save you, He will save you now."

Now doesn’t that make you want to throw up? I mean Satan got him a singer…and a really good one at that! Because it was right about the time Tabitha confessed her rejection of God’s Plan for her life (this is where I belong), and then sang her hypocritical song about “trusting in Jesus”, that she became one more unholy singer on the Jimmy Swaggart Worship Team!

“Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” (John 12:35-36 KJV)

So Tabitha rejected “The Light” and began her long journey into “the kingdom of darkness”…which included losing her job at JSM and losing her husband. But you can’t say that God didn’t warn them!

And moving on along with this message, let’s take a look at some of the more recent unholy singers and musicians at JSM. In fact the following is just a sample of what Brother Buffalo sees from his “insider” vantage-point at JSM:

Tareva Henderson, singer, Allison Collins, singer, Bob Henderson, sax and singer, Boo Pourciau, drummer, Larry Turner, organ, all are from the Louisiana club/blues/jazz scene.”

Now what do you think about that? Well check out the Web sites and see for yourself. Talk about worldly! In fact the words of Jimmy Swaggart “twenty (20) years ago” are still ringing in my ears: “‘I’m sorry we don’t want them.’ Why? Because I saw none of Christ and all of them.” And if you combine those words with Brother Buffalo’s most recent comments about the “fabulous five” – “‘How things have changed!’ And not for the better.” – you’ll be able to understand how I personally feel about Jimmy Swaggart desecrating the worship of God through his damnable choice of unholy singers and musicians.

But just in case there’s any doubt about the “fabulous five” being “unholy”, here’s what Matthew Henry had to say about 1 Corinthians 3:16-23 and God’s expectations for Christ-likeness:

“Every Christian is a living temple of the living God. God dwelt in the Jewish temple, took possession of it, and resided in it, by that glorious cloud that was the token of his presence with that people. So Christ by his Spirit dwells in all true believers. The temple was devoted and consecrated to God, and set apart from every common to a holy use, to the immediate service of God. So all Christians are separated from common uses, and set apart for God and his service. They are sacred to him - a very good argument this against all fleshly lusts, and all doctrines that give countenance to them. If we are the temples of God, we must do nothing that shall alienate ourselves from him, or corrupt and pollute ourselves, and thereby unfit ourselves for his use; and we must hearken to no doctrine nor doctor that would seduce us to any such practices. Note, Christians are holy by profession, and should be pure and clean both in heart and conversation. We should heartily abhor, and carefully avoid, what will defile God's temple, and prostitute what ought to be sacred to him.” (Matthew Henry’s Commentary on the Whole Bible)

So do the “fabulous five” measure up to God’s expectations for holiness? I don’t think so! But let’s not stop here! I mean let’s drive on home the point with some more of that “godly wisdom” from Jimmy Swaggart’s past. Because by picking it up in chapter 13 of his 1987 book Religious Rock n Roll: A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing, we find this excellent advice on how to detect/discern the unholy spirit in the “fabulous five”:

“…Does the music stir the flesh to ‘boogie’ or to praise the Lord? Another question could be asked as well: Does the music enhance the spiritual nature or the carnal nature of your life? When several young people in Baton Rouge attended the Stryper concert, they were asked by Youth Pastor Glen Berteau, ‘What did that music make you want to do?’ Both of the young men in question, who were relatively new converts, agreed that the music was bad for them. One teenager said, ‘It gives me a flashback and makes me want to go out and do dope again.’ The other agreed there was a negative inspiration to the music. ‘It makes me want to go home, get my electric guitar, and play the heaviest rock and roll I can,’ he admitted. These teenagers’ comments, as well as considerable documented material, have convinced me of the falseness of the religious rock sound. It didn’t cause these young people to praise the Lord. They were only inspired in their fleshly nature.”

Allison And then there’s Allison. Not only can she sing, but she plays a mean tambourine too! In fact as Sister Lorraine tells it, when Allison first became a part of the Jimmy Swaggart Worship Team, her hip action stole the show! I mean she kept the beat of the music with her hips. A worldly thing, you might say. So in order to divert her energy into something a little less distracting, (for the male gender in particular), they gave her a tambourine! Neat!!! But let’s not leave out her sister, Allison #2 (that’s what Jimmy calls her). Because it was on the FWC Home Church Video, 3rd Sunday - February 2006, that this young lady sang…and boy did she sing! The song was “He’s An On-Time God”, but that’s about as far as the spirituality went! I mean Allison #2 put Allison #1 to shame when it comes to this thing about performing. She’s a short young lady with long straight hair and a soulful sexy voice. She can bust a move too! In fact it was all that in combination with her long dangly ear pieces, pink eye shadow and pink fingernails, that took me back to the days of my youth…back to the days when I dated a cute little cheerleader. LeRoux And moving right along, we have Larry the “organ man”. Now even though I don’t have a whole lot to say about Larry, I can say that he fits right in with the rest…and the rest of the rest is a drummer named "Boo". So what in the world is he doing with a name like that? Well all I can say is check out LeRoux’s album cover and see if you can discern the spirit. I mean, after all, Boo played a very important part in producing the music for that very bewitching album. (Note: The definition of "Gris-Gris" is magical power: a magic spell, hex, or charm.)

So there you have it! The “fabulous five” that make up a very big part of Jimmy Swaggart’s unholy Worship Team. Ain’t it a mess? Worship??? I mean “Lord forgive me” for the fleshly thoughts and desires they produce in me!!!

But that ain’t even all! Because you see in all fairness to the unholy bunch, we must include two more from the not-too-distant past. In fact the following is what Brother Buffalo had to say about the husband and wife team of “Lester and Holly”:

“Lester and Holly resigned from JSM some time back. They have, to my knowledge, moved to Atlanta, and have their own ministry based out of there. They appeared on TBN's Praise the Lord at least one time, it was the big buzz at the Ministry, because, as you know, JS thinks TBN is the "de facto apostate Church." Lester and Holly have their own website: _www.lesterandholly.com_ (http://www.lesterandholly.com) . If your computer supports Videos, their Video comes on within seconds of going to their website. It is extremely worldly and carnal. If JS knows about this Video (highly unlikely), I can't understand why he would allow them to sing at FWC. He just seems to be completely "smitten" with them and either won't address them on these issues, or he does speak to them privately about it and they ignore him completely.”

Now ain’t that something! Some of the locals at FWC used to call them “The Lester And Holly Show” – they were such great entertainers! I mean, can you believe that Jimmy Swaggart has “performers” on his “Worship Team” who are good at “acting”? Go figure! Without a doubt, Jimmy Swaggart has come a looooooooong way from the “no compromise” days of his past in selecting singers and musicians: “‘I’m sorry we don’t want them.’ Why? Because I saw none of Christ and all of them.”

So the question is, “Who is Samanthia Cassidy?” Well, after that introduction from Brother Buffalo it should be pretty easy to figure out that Samanthia is a very gifted singer who is affiliated with the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry. I mean this lady can sing! And even though Samanthia’s music has blessed me throughout the years, there is one thing about her that really bothers the heck out of me. You see whenever she’s around the Swaggart’s (Frances in particular), she treats them as though they’re royalty…and I do mean to the point of being just inches away from kissing their feet.

Well that’s the way Samanthia is, but I’ve tried my best to ignore it! And I must say that I was doing a pretty good job of it until the Good Lord instructed me to contact her. Because it was on the 23rd of October, 2005, that I sent out an invitation for Samanthia to first read our sermonet – "Jimmy Swaggart Thinks He Has Arrived…But God’s Got An Eraser!" – and then help us to help the Swaggarts. However, it was after her “non-committal reply” that the Lord had me to invite her to read "Jimmy Swaggart REJECTS The Cross Of Christ!" on the 10th of March, 2006. And you see it was her ending response to my last request that tells the rest of the story:

“…Mr. Hallman, pray about your self and your unforgiving spirit. Don't stop until you get set free. When you do, you will be so happy, you won't even think to slander a child of God. I do not know why in the world you think I would ever speak ill of Brother Swaggart or his precious family. You and I don't even know each other. I have never met you. Please consider you own soul and stop this evil speaking. A Friend to Evagelist Brother Jimmy Swaggart & Family, Samanthia Cassidy”

So that was just a sample of what Samanthia had to say “about me” and “to me”. And after having read it I did as she requested – I prayed about it! And the following is what the Lord gave me to give to Samanthia as a True reflection of her life:

“To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.” (Proverbs 28:21 KJV)

“But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.” (James 2:9 KJV)

“These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.” (Jude 1:16 KJV)

So what did it all mean? What was Father God trying to say about Samanthia through those Scriptures? Well, Brother Buffalo said it best: “you can't expect someone who wants to have a good relationship with the Swaggarts to want to be associated with your website in anyway…Samanthia just may want to rejoin the JSM Worship Team.”

In the plain and simple of it, Samanthia’s actions are nothing short of a COMPROMISE with God in order to gain favor with the Swaggarts for a very prestigious position on the JSM Worship Team:

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24 KJV)

And it’s because of the fact that Samanthia loves the Swaggarts more than she loves the Almighty that God says she’s UNHOLY!

So there you have it; just one more very good, but yet very bad, example of why this message was entitled “Jimmy Swaggart And His Unholy Worship Team!” And of course the most serious consequence of these unholy singers singing the praises of God is that they are a part of “the kingdom of darkness”. And of course as Pastor Gabe has already pointed out: “the kingdom of darkness stands in opposition” to “The Kingdom Of Heaven”. So go figure! God calls them hypocrites…and we all know how they can influence “the flock”:

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” (Matthew 23:15 KJV)

And there you have it: “Music And The Devil (Part II)”. Music, what a powerful form of deception! In fact just so you can see her true spirit hiding in the shadows, I’ve attached all of my e-mail correspondence with Samanthia.

So until next time, please seek the Lord in all things, especially the praise and worship music, so that you too can “Keep On Keeping The Faith In Jesus!”

     I'm so sorry that your name is not familiar to me. Please forgive me for not knowimg you. Write and tell me what this is about and who you are.
     My heart grieves for my Nigeria, First Lady Madame Stella has been killed in a plane crash and Nigeria is greiving for her. She was so very generous to me and so gracious. President Obasanjo and Madame Stella invited Bill and I to their Villa and to have Lunch with them, The Villa is what our White House is to America. She and President Obasanjo loved the song I wrote for their nation, "Nigeria Oh Nigeria" They invited me to sing to their nation and about 3800 Ministers from all over Africa, and Prime Ministers and Heads of State from several countries. Then President Obasanjo invited me to sing in his Private Sunday Morning Service that is held every Sunday in The Villa in Abuja. Since the year 2000 Bill and I have never been the same. We are about doing the Sweet will of God no matter where it takes us.
     Bill and I have been going back to Nigeria every chance we get and we have been able to help a lot of precious people. We Praise God . We have received e-mails from Pastors in Nigeria asking for our prayers. We know for sure that Madame Stella had a Loving heart, she loved Jesus Christ and she did a lot of good for children and women. I must send a wire to the nation.
     Please refrain from anything concerning other people until you have complete peace. God is faithful and his mercy endures forever. I know , for I have used it time and time again.
     Prayer and love will do more for people than anything else will. Even your enemies will stand far back when you love them. Let me hear from you.

     Thank you for taking the time to reply. You are a most gracious lady. And just to show you how God's working in this, it was not more that a week ago that we watched the Jimmy Swaggart service in which you gave your testimony about "Nigeria Oh Nigeria". You were right in the middle of singing "I'd Rather Have Jesus" at the time. We thoroughly enjoy this gift that the Lord has entrusted you with. Praise God for the "song of praise".
     So do you know me? I doubt it. But let me tell you just a little about my past. I was born in 1949, and brought up in a Methodist Church believing that my membership would get me into Heaven. I was attending church but living like the Devil. Then shortly after graduating from college, my church informed me that they were taking my name off their role. Their reason was that I no longer lived in the area. I was awe-struck to say the least, but that was right about the time the Jimmy Swaggart telecast came into my life. It wasn't too long after that I found a saving relationship with Christ through the teaching/preaching of Brother Swaggart. I was then informed by the Almighty that Brother Swaggart was to be my earthly mentor in the Lord.
     Well that was back in 1984, and through thick and thin, the good times and the bad, I stuck by Brother Swaggart. I have learned much through his teachings, but most of all he is the one who got me on track with Jesus through a proper understanding of the Holy Spirit.
     Then it was in December of 2001 that the Lord commissioned me to expose "error" in JSM. My calling is that of prophet, and the time had come for me to help out the one who had help me find the Lord. It was time for the student to help the teacher.
     Now please, let me make one thing clear; I did not choose this calling! The calling of prophet is not one that anybody in their right mind would willingly choose. I mean after all, the credentials are pretty hard to come by. I had to lose my job, my family, my home, become homeless and go to jail in order to qualify:
     "For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country." (John 4:44 KJV)
     So my job is not to impress people, be liked or admired, but to speak whatever the Lord gives me to speak...as in "thus saith the Lord!"
     And having said all of that, the Lord has directed me to you with this question: "Do you love the Swaggarts enough to tell them the Truth...AND EVEN IF IT COST YOU EVERYTHING?
     "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." (John 15:12- 14 KJV)
     "Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand." (Ezekiel 3:20 KJV)
     "Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." (James 5:19-20 KJV)

     It is evident that you do not know me or my conviction or my testimony. Brother, we have work to do, get busy and stop this destructive gossip. A criuxcifiction means one dies, you can only kill a man once. The church has already tried to kill Brother Swaggart time and time again, they couldn't back then and they can't now. The God that he serves and the God that I serve has his stamp of approival on Brother Jimmy's forehead, That stamp of approvel reads; Forgiven , Redeemed, Mine Anointed, Washed by the Blood of the Lamb, Forever Settled, My Servant, My Son. Many are called, but few are chosen.
     Brother Swaggart has been called by God to help save the lost, restore the body to truth, to teach the unlearned, to set the captives free and to bring in the last day REVIVAL before the great comimg of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There's no power on earth that can change this. Isn' that wonderful to know. I'm a person who knows what it is to need fogiveness and what it is to be rejected by so called Holy Ghost filled Christians. I know first hand that Brother Swaggart loves God and loves God's people. I know first hand what it is to sit under his ministry and be able to worship God freely without any restraints and with order in the House of God. I know what it is to feel the Most Powerful Anointng this side of heaven and feel that anointing flow through Brother Swaggart. It's the same anointing that God has given me, Flesh we are, but, God uses his spirit through fleshly bodies to get his heavenly work done.
     Mr. Hallman, pray about your self and your unforgiving spirit. Don't stop until you get set free. When you do, you will be so happy, you won't even think to slander a child of God.
