The following letter-form was brought about as a means of teaching my children the Word of God through the mail. And of course, quite naturally so, that’s the reason I begin these letters with "Dear Children" and end them with "Love Dad". So for the rest of you who participate in these weekly messages, please keep their original intended purpose in mind.
4-18 July, 1999
Dear Children,
Now I’ll have to admit that three weeks is a long time to write on one sermonet, but the circumstances were completely out of my control. You see things got a little crazy in the spirit world and I’ve been fighting quite a few big, bad, and ugly spirits in order to get these words in print. So I can only imagine that if they’ve fought this one that hard, it must a be pretty important one at that. But anyway... now for the rest of the story.
As usual we’re going to start off this week’s message with one mighty-fine, real-good, real-life example of how "The God of all gods" is working in our lives. In fact you might even go so far as to say that these past few weeks have been exciting with a capital E. Because Arthur, Hadassah, and myself have just returned from five full days of Jimmy Swaggart 4th of July Campmeeting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana... and oh what a time we had! You see we got blessed!!! And the only reason we got blessed was because several years ago the Spirit of God told me to be at the Jimmy Swaggart Campmeeting services each and every time they opened the doors.
So that’s what He told me, and that’s what I did, but it shore ain’t a been easy doing it. You see even though the Holy Spirit gave me the orders to attend these Campmeeting services, the spirit of Satan has done everything in his power to convince me to do otherwise. I mean just think about it, how many people in this day and time put any kind of stock in what "thus saith the Lord" through Jimmy Swaggart? Well just in case the question’s got you stumped, let me kinda like give you a few hints. On the average, there ain’t too awful many in these states anyway (the U.S. of A.) who think too much of him. In fact being perfectly honest with you, most folks think I’m dumb and stupid for even speaking the name of Jimmy Swaggart, much less actively taking part in his ministry. But you see none of that really matters, because I’ve heard from God, and I’m going to do exactly what His Spirit has told me to do... regardless of what the rest of the world might say.
Because the truth of the matter is that obeying the Spirit of God is one of the most important requirements for receiving the "promised land blessings"... and I for one plan on receiving all that I can get. And seeing how we’re already on the subject of blessings anyway, why don’t I just go ahead and share with you a few that we got during the Campmeeting services. In fact to be honest with you the blessings really started on our way down to Louisiana, but I don’t even have the paper to tell you about all those. So anyway, the ones that I will tell you about kinda like confirms what the Lord has already given us in our weekly sermonets. Because you see the teaching and preaching services were all based around the common theme of "Going Into The Promised Land" and "Discerning The Spirits". And if you paid close attention in our last message you should have caught on to how these two very important subjects fit right in with me and my adventures with The Toro Company.
Now even though it was encouraging to hear God verify His Word to me through the preaching/teaching part of these services, the real boost to my spirit came as a special word from God... and it didn’t come in the form of a sermon. Because it was during the ten o’clock Saturday morning service, as the Spirit of God moved mightily on the people, that the evangelist wasn’t even able to give her prepared sermon. The Holy Spirit took control of the meeting and the rest of the service is still a very pleasant part of my memory. You see it all happened as I was standing at the altar praising and glorifying God in my spirit. The lady evangelist laid hands on me and said that God had given her a word to give to me... and that word was really two words "El Shaddai". So what do you figure it all meant?
Well to be perfectly honest with you I didn’t have the foggiest idea what the Lord was trying to tell me, but the one thing that I did know was that El Shaddai was another name for God. So after the service Hadassah help me out by doing a quick word search in her Dake’s Bible. And what she found was that even though El Shaddai is translated most often Almighty God, when you go back to the original Hebrew words you get a much more powerful understanding of it’s intended meaning. Because you see "El" signifies the Strong One and "Shaddai" the Breasted One. So the word that God gave to the evangelist to give to me verified the fact that He is the Strong-Nourisher, Strength-Giver, Satisfier, and All-Bountiful Supplier of my needs.
And that’s about the time I shouted Hallelujah Praise The Lord Thank You Jesus!!! Because what Father God was telling me through His special word from the evangelist was that regardless of the circumstances in my life He is more than able to supply me with everything I need. And believe you me at this very critical time in my life those words were exactly what I needed to hear. You see even though one of our promised land promises is my new job at Toro, I still don’t have my new job yet... and my paycheck is no more... but God continues to tell me that He is able; just trust in Him and everything’s going to be all right!
And seeing how we’re back on the subject of Toro, how many of you folks out there were able to figure out "the rest of the story" from last week’s message on The Toro Company (see Sermonet Will The Moses Of Toro See The Promised Land?)? Well even though God the Father so graciously laid out all the Scripture needed for me to write His intended message (Acts 2, Deuteronomy 1, and II Corinthians 13), the part about figuring out how it all relates to my present day situation with the Toro Company (I’ve got a job but I don’t have a job) didn’t even come about any too easy. In fact due to the complexity of that one little message from the Lord we will continue on with it’s interpretation in this week’s sermonet. Because you see even though I wrote eight pages of information in the last letter, I was not at all satisfied with my own understanding of how II Corinthians 13 ties into the overall big picture at Toro.
But now that I’ve taken three more weeks to pray and study the Word, I think I can honestly say that I have enough details to put together the rest of this not too easy puzzle. So where do we start? Well how about the part about "three weeks of prayer and study of the Word". Because the truth of the matter is that God the Father wants me to understand this mystery of The Toro Company, and of course the only way I can truly understand it is through Him. You see even though I could have asked a lot of people what they thought God the Father was trying to tell me in this Scripture, the bottom line facts are that the truth of this great mystery can only come from The One Who knows our past, our present, and our future. God the Father is the only One qualified to give me this information... and He gives it to me through His Holy Spirit.
And of course that brings up the point about why the Day of Pentecost as found in Acts chapter 2 is so very important in this story about what’s going on at Toro. You see the Day of Pentecost was that special day when God the Father made the Holy Spirit available to each and every person who was (is) willing to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. From that day forward every follower of the crucified Christ could be filled with the Spirit of God and likewise receive the wisdom and knowledge of God the Father through the supernatural power of His Holy Spirit.
So you see I’m just one more of those folks (disciples) who’s accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and likewise been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. And it’s because of this one fact that God the Father was able to empower me with the Spirit of God to accomplish my God-called job of helping The Toro Company make it on into the promised land. In fact relating back to the story of Moses and Joshua (Deuteronomy chapter 1), it was somewhere around the 18th of July, 1998, that I wrote my first letter to the Moses of Toro. You see God had already told him (Moses) that I (Joshua) had been appointed to help him out with the enormous responsibility of getting the folks at Toro from point A to point B (delivered from Egyptian slavery and on into the promised land)... and that’s why He wrote me a letter stating that this was what he "felt".
So that’s when it all started. Almost one year ago to-the-day God the Father got me started writing letters to Moses... and oh what letters we wrote. You see it was a little bit like that story of Moses and Joshua in Numbers chapter 11. Moses appointed seventy "most holy" elders to help him get rid of his headache, but not all of them were holy. In fact it was those two fellows named Eldad and Medad who were about as ungodly as you could ever imagine... and it was Joshua who spiritually saw through their disguise. Joshua saw the problem but Moses didn’t. And even though Joshua tried so very hard to get Moses to understand just how corrupted these "most holy" elders really were (he wrote him a bunch of letters?), Moses kept right on believing what he wanted to believe. And of course what he believed was not what God the Father wanted him to believe, because what he was believing was a gonna cause him (and a whole bunch of other folks) not to make it into the promised land.
Now it was right about here that the Lord seemingly switched gears on me by bringing in the Scripture of II Corinthians 13. And in order to refresh your memory, why don’t we just read those very strong words of Paul once again: : "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?... Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction."
So this was what the Lord gave me in the last sermonet, but by the time we got around to discussing it there wasn’t a whole lot of paper left for my comments. In fact to be completely honest with you, I really didn’t have much to say about it anyway. Because you see at the time of our last writing I was sorta like "in the dark" as to God’s full intended meaning of this Scripture. But even though I was very uncertain how II Corinthians 13 applied to me and The Toro Company, I was at least able to get out the following comments: "So you see what I have been speaking of is nothing less than the Word of God as it applies to The Toro Company... and I’ve been speaking it for some time now. God has a very special plan for this company but those in control have continued to ignore the Word of God as spoken through the Spirit of God in me. I have not only been ignored but also terminated for speaking out on ‘what thus saith the Lord’(see Sermonet The Big Snake Makes A Strike!). So please take this message to heart."
Now even though I really didn’t understand it at the time, what I had said then was exactly what I understand now concerning this third part of our three part message. And it was due to the messages preached at the Jimmy Swaggart Campmeeting services one week later ("Going Into The Promised Land" and "Discerning The Spirits") that I was able to fit together a few more pieces of this puzzle. Because without a doubt, when it comes to figuring out some of life’s deep dark mysteries, God the Father doesn’t always just dump the information into my lap. You see what happens most often is that I have to do a whole lotta praying and studying of the Word before He finally gives me the answers. And seeing how that’s exactly what I’ve already done, we’re now ready for the rest of this story.
And just to get you up to speed, the Scriptures found in I and II Corinthians tell the story of Paul and some of the problems he faced with the church of Corinth. You see it was Paul who first took the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Corinth, and likewise it was through his teaching and preaching that these folks received their salvation. But even though Paul had given them The Truth, it seems as though Satan had somehow persuaded a few of the Corinth church leaders to start preaching lies (the gospel of Satan). And of course seeing how Paul was a man of God, he fully realized that if something wasn’t done real quick these Jesus believing folks would probably very shortly be turned back into unbelievers... and likewise end up slipping right back on down into the burning fires of Hell.
Now the most frustrating part of this whole story was that even though Paul knew without a doubt that what he was teaching and preaching was The Truth, there were some in the church who said that he wasn’t. But even though they were saying that he wasn’t, he still knew that he was because of his direct connection to The Source. You see Paul had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. In other words the Spirit of God was both in him and on him to communicate All Truth directly from God the Father. And of course The Truth that he was hearing through the Holy Spirit was that these folks in Corinth were in a heap of trouble. So that’s what he heard... and that’s what he told them... but that didn’t seem to change their minds.
You see the facts were that Satan was doing such a fine job with all his lies that the folks in the church of Corinth were starting to believe Paul was of Satan and the lying leaders were of God. And this is the spot where Paul’s story of the church of Corinth and my story with The Toro Company fall right into line. You see Paul’s opening statement in chapter 13 is what the Lord is saying to the Moses of The Toro Company through me: "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." And likewise it was this one very important clue that Father God had to continually remind me of for a few days before I finally caught the connection.
Because you see it was on the 30th of January, 1999, six months after the first of my many letters concerning what "thus saith the Lord to Toro", that I wrote yet another letter to the Moses of Toro. And even though I’ve changed the name of the addressee, the rest of the following letter is just as it was originally written:
Dear Mr. (Moses),
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks as though the Lord has chosen me to do the job. You see it was sometime Thursday morning of this week that the Lord gave me a message to deliver to you, and after seriously thinking about what He wanted me to give to you I kinda like hesitated before putting it in writing. In fact what I did was to pray that the Father would verify in some small way that what I thought I heard from Him was really from Him.
And it was this morning at work that I finally received the verification that I needed. Because you see today a close friend of mine (in the Lord) told me about a vision he (she) had Thursday night. And in this vision he (she) saw the assembly side of the El Paso Toro Plant with some very strange things happening to it. You see it seemed as though the roof had actually caved in on a few specific lines, totally destroying all product in process. And it seems as though one of the lines was on the controller side and the other two lines were on the valve side. Now I'm not too sure about which controller line it was but the valve lines were the XL Rotor and the 2400 Series Valve.
So what did it all mean? Well what it meant was exactly what the Lord had already given me on Thursday morning. Because what He told me was really even worse than what my friend saw in his (her) vision. You see He told me that I needed to tell you that the Toro business was a headed for a fall... and this fall was coming because you have continually refused to follow what "thus saith the Lord!" And even though the sales for this upcoming season might be going through the roof, it seems as though the product we are making will only fall through the floor.
Now I have no earthly idea (or Heavenly for that matter) whether or not it's too late for you to stop the upcoming disaster. But what I do know is that regardless of what efforts we might put into making it not happen it will happen... because the Lord has declared it to be.
And once again the reason that He's going to do what He's going to do is because you haven't followed His orders. And just in case you don't remember what the Lord gave me to give to you in the first place (His orders), I've attached all five of the letters for your review.
So please believe me when I say that what I'm telling you is the truth.
In the Lord,
Bruce Hallman
Now the attachments I was referring to were just a few of the many letters I had already written to "Moses" concerning what "thus saith the Lord" to him through me. But seeing how these letters from the Lord had not gotten their intended results, God the Father had given to me to give to him the prophecy of upcoming gloom and doom for The Toro Company. So you see what was happening to me was very similar to Paul and the church of Corinth. There was a problem in The Toro Company and God the Father had showed me through the Holy Spirit what was coming up ahead. In fact just to reassure me that what I was hearing was from Him, He went so far as to verify this prediction of gloom and doom through a second person ("In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.") .
So the Spirit of God spoke gloom and doom through me... but for some strange reason Moses just couldn’t believe what I was telling him. And seeing how God doesn’t like to be ignored, He went so far as to warn him again. Because it was on the 8th of February, 1999, that I fired off just one more warning from the Lord:
Dear Mr. (Moses),
As to your question concerning the "undermining of others"... the answer is a resounding "YES". You are surrounded by "snakes" and the only way to deal with these pest is by taking control. And of course you are in the position to do the job.
I don't have time to write a lengthy letter, but I feel the "earthquake" God has predicted is not too far into the future. And even though things might look good on paper, the information that you must focus on is what "thus saith the Lord". God has spoken through me and one other person, so the rest depends on whether or not you can believe it and act on it...
Got to get back to work.
In the Lord,
Bruce
Now even though there were many letters written in between, the one you have just read was the second one in which God reminded the Moses of Toro about His gloom and doom prediction of upcoming judgment on The Toro Company. You see God wanted to stop Satan’s takeover attempt on The Toro Company, but it was Moses who had to make things happen by taking control. And seeing how Moses must not have believed what I told him, the following is my letter describing what happened next:
Dear Mr. (Moses),
I had a very long and pleasant talk with corporate human relations yesterday afternoon...
however, as of approximately 11:00 AM Thursday March 25th my position with Toro has been terminated.
In the Lord,
Bruce
But seeing how God the Father is not One Who gives up too awful easily, this letter of today is His third and final warning (I’m afraid) to the Moses of Toro. You see He’s tried, and He’s tried, and He’s even trying this one last time to get the Moses of Toro to hear His voice. And it’s this message in Paul’s letter (as found in the last chapter of II Corinthians) that God the Father intends to use for Mr. Moses’ final wake-up call. Because as Paul said, "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare..."
And of course the very obvious reason why it’s taken so many attempts to get God’s intended message across to Mr. Moses is "Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves."
You see Mr. Moses claims to be a born-again Christian. But if he is a born-again child of God then he knows it is his never ending responsibility to not only hear from his Father in Heaven but also to do what his Father has commanded him to do. So either way you look at it Mr. Moses is in serious trouble when it comes to his relationship with God. Because if he is a born-again child of God then he must have the Spirit of God in him. And if He has the Spirit of God in him then he should recognize the Spirit of God speaking through me. And if he ignores the Spirit of God speaking through me then he’s also ignored God.
Now I realize that what I have just said is very strong to say the least, but what I have just said is what God Almighty wanted me to say. Because you see "Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?... Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction."
And in order to help you understand the word reprobate just a little bit better, let’s turn to and read from Titus 1:15-16: "Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
So that my friends is one more real-life letter from God the Father to "Mr. Moses" of Toro. And of course because of the radical nature of this letter I’m quite sure there will be at least a few who will question what I have just written as being from the Lord. And if that’s the case with you, then I seriously suggest that you "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves."
Don’t let Satan’s lying spirits make a reprobate out of you. Receive and obey the Holy Spirit of God so that you too can Keep on Keeping The Faith In Jesus!!!!
Love,
Dad (Bruce Hallman)
