The following letter-form was brought about as a means of teaching my children the Word of God through the mail. And of course, quite naturally so, that’s the reason I begin these letters with "Dear Children" and end them with "Love Dad". So for the rest of you who participate in these weekly messages, please keep their original intended purpose in mind.

7 May, 2000

Dear Children,

First of all, I’d like to start this one off the same way I did the last... by giving God the glory. Thank you Jesus for this message!

So what did you think about last week’s sermonet Benny Hinn And The Catholic Church? Well to tell you the truth, I was completely caught off guard by Benny Hinn’s statement. I mean I figured he had more "spiritual smarts" than to be tripped-up by the doctrines of demons in the Roman Catholic Church... but I guess I was wrong.

You see the only way that I can figure how Benny Hinn’s spiritual thinking got so gnarled up was that it must have all started when he was very young. In fact by going back to his earthshaking statement of last week, I think we’ll find an important clue to this very deep dark mystery. Because it was Benny Hinn who said: "Hey, these people [Catholics] are going to Heaven, they are our friends. I went to Catholic school."

Now did you catch that all important clue to Brother Hinn’s spiritual deception? It’s called religious brainwashing in the Catholic schools (see Catholic Brainwashed Children for more of the details). What a nifty way to pervert the minds of our children! But now that the damage has already been done, and Benny Hinn has grown up to be a very strong influence in the Christian world of today, just what do you figure we ought to do to try and correct the problem?

Well seeing how education has worked so well with the Catholic Church and their doctrines of demons, why don’t we try something along the same line with The Truth. Because the truth of the matter is that if a whole bunch of these "so called" Christians don’t get educated pretty soon, this same bunch will either experience the upcoming Great Tribulation or end up in Hell! And even though the Great Tribulation might sound pretty bad (seven years of Hell on earth), it’s a whole lot better than everlasting death in the flaming fires of Hell. I mean at least all the "so called" Christians making it into the Great Tribulation will have one more chance to get it right. Because you see even though things will be really really tough during the Tribulation Period, the "so called" Christians will be able to become "real" Christians by physically giving their life for Jesus. It’s called putting your head on the chopping block for Christ!

But... seeing how neither of these experiences (the Great Tribulation or Hell) will be any too pleasant for the "so called" Christian believers, were going to try our dead level best to make a few of them "real". Because you see for the today’s message I’m going to share with you what I’ve learned from my correspondence and studies on the Roman Catholic Religion. I’m going to give you the inside story of what’s got Benny Hinn so all fired tangled-up, mixed-up, and down right confused.

So where do we start? Well how about us taking a look directly into the "horses mouth" (so to speak). You see for the last year I’ve been getting loads of information directly from a few Catholic folk who’re completely sold out (lock, stock, and barrel) to their Roman Catholic Church. I mean these folks are dead serious (no pun intended) about what they believe in. They’re what you might want to call "experts" on the Roman Catholic faith. So in order to lead right on into this little sermonet of the week, we’re going to use their "Catholic answer" to one of my "Protestant questions" to kinda like get things rolling.

Protestant question (mine):"If the Holy Spirit were to convict you that one of your Catholic Church doctrines were not of God, what would you do?"

Catholic answer (hers): "Well, such an "inner conviction" is rather subjective... Any subjective inner feeling, "voice" or "conviction" must be tested by God's inspired word. God will not contradict Himself! I have studied the Bible extensively, from both an Evangelical viewpoint and a Catholic one. I know that the Catholic Church is the only Christian Church which takes the *whole* of Scripture into account. I know that all Catholic doctrines are rooted in Sacred Scripture and in the Sacred Tradition of Jesus Christ, which He passed down through His Apostles (2 Thess 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2). (This is different from the "traditions of men" which nullify the word of God; it is the teachings of Christ our God which were not recorded in Scripture, see John 21:25). So if I received a "conviction" that a Catholic doctrine is untrue, I would have to conclude that the "conviction" is not of God, because God's word supports Catholic doctrine... The true Holy Ghost would never contradict the holy word which He inspired. So the Spirit of God would never tell me that a Catholic teaching is untrue. All subjective feelings must be submitted to God's word." (click here for Catholic Lady's full length letter)

So were you able to grab hold of that one? Well unless you’re really tuned-in to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, the answer I got, to my question on the Holy Spirit, probably won’t even trigger an alarm in your spiritual nervous system... not yet anyway. But I hope and pray, that before this sermonet of the week is said and done, each and every one of you will be able to understand why we’ve given this message of the week the title of... And Benny Hinn Says That The Catholics Are Saved?

Now going back to my question on the Holy Spirit, and my Catholic friend’s reply, let me like grease the skids to this discussion by giving you a brief overview of God’s Salvation Plan. First of all we must understand that God is what you call Three-In-One. God is One God, but He is in the form of Three "Persons"; God the Father, God the Son (the Word), and God the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost). And it was because of Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden that God the Word took on the form of man (God the Son) by becoming the little baby Jesus... who grew into a man... and lived His entire life in total obedience to God the Father. Jesus was God (the Word), Who became man, so that He could live a perfect sinless life in order to die an agonizing death on the cross for our sins.

OK, so the important thing to understand about Jesus and His life was that even though He was born "without sin" (He inherited no sin from His Father because His Father was God, and He inherited no sin from His mother because His mother [Mary] didn’t contribute to His physical make-up [she was only an incubator]), He most definitely could have sinned during His lifetime. And the Only Way that He was able to make it, from birth to death (the cross) without committing any sin whatsoever, was by His total and complete obedience to God the Father through the Holy Spirit.

You see when Jesus became a human He became just like us. And even though He talked directly to God the Father when He was in Heaven, it sorta like all changed real quick when He became a human. Because from the day that He was born through the virgin Mary, until the day of His resurrection from the dead, Jesus not only talked to and heard from God the Father through the Holy Spirit, but He also received His awesome miracle working power through the Holy Spirit. So please understand the very important fact that it’s God’s Holy Spirit that links us humans with God the Father in Heaven. This is the way that we as children of God become one with God and likewise empowered by God. We get what we get from God through His Holy Spirit!

And even though we’ve probably already made the point abundantly clear, let’s make doubly sure by taking it from the top one more time. In the beginning... Adam sinned... so that from that point on into all eternity, each and every person born on the face of this earth (except Jesus) would be born into sin. And seeing how God (God the Farther, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) can’t be a part of sin, it was only after what Adam did that nobody (except Jesus) could be "linked-up" with God through His Holy Spirit. So, because of that one fact, the only hope that any of us ever had of becoming linked-up with God is Jesus. And now that Jesus has done what He had to do, through the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we too can be linked-up with God the Father in Heaven. Jesus gave His Perfect Blood on the cross so that we can be forgiven our sins and become one with the Father through the Holy Ghost.

Wow! Can you even imagine that? And now that you know how we can be one with God through the Holy Spirit, do you know why it’s so absolutely necessary? Well to tell you the truth, we need the Holy Spirit so that we can be holy. And what do you think it means to be holy? Well seeing how Jesus has already explained it in John 16:7-13, let’s just read it for ourselves: "Nevertheless I [Jesus] tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter [Holy Spirit] will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him [the Holy Spirit] unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth [the Holy Spirit], is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

So do you figure that just hearing this "All Truth" is what it takes to make us holy? Well even though that would be nice, it just ain’t so! There’s one more really important step in this process of becoming holy, and we can find it in Romans 8:14: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." You see in order to be holy, we not only have to hear The Truth through the Holy Spirit but we must also obey The Truth through the Holy Spirit. So now that you’ve got the whole picture, you should be able to see why the Holy Spirit is sooo important in the lives of "real" Christians. The Holy Spirit makes sure that the "real" Christian gets the "real truth" so that he or she can continue right on being "real". Got it? We ain’t a gonna become children of God, and live in God’s Heavenly mansion, unless we both hear from and obey the Holy Spirit.

Well after having gone through all that, let’s get back to the Catholic lady’s answer to my question of "If the Holy Spirit were to convict you that one of your Catholic Church doctrines were not of God, what would you do?" And keeping it in mind that the Holy Spirit is The Way that Father God leads us into All Truth, this was what she replied to me: "Any subjective inner feeling, "voice" or "conviction" must be tested by God's inspired word... I know that all Catholic doctrines are rooted in Sacred Scripture and in the Sacred Tradition of Jesus Christ, which He passed down through His Apostles... So if I received a "conviction" that a Catholic doctrine is untrue, I would have to conclude that the "conviction" is not of God, because God's word supports Catholic doctrine."

Now just in case you haven’t figured out exactly what this Catholic lady was saying, please allow me to explain. You see what this Catholic lady said was that she puts so much faith in what her Catholic Church teaches her that she actually ignores any and all other "spiritual feelings" that don’t agree with her Catholic Church. In other words if the Holy Spirit were trying to wake-up this Catholic lady to the fact that she was believing in a lie, He would be totally and completely unable to do so... because she had already "tuned Him out and turned Him off". And considering the fact (before I show you) that the Catholic doctrine is Satan’s substitution (bread of death) for The Truth (Bread of Life), wouldn’t you think that this Catholic lady’s total trust in the Catholic doctrines had just made it impossible for her to be saved?

Talk about frustrating! I mean this Catholic religious system does one more bang-up job when it comes to making sure the "so called" Catholic Christians never become "real" ones. In fact reading from the book of Galatians we can see just how frustrated Paul got with his Galatian Church after they started messing around with a few of these seducing spirits (same evil spirits with a different name): "Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:... I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel... But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed... O FOOLISH Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth... Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"

Now just in case you didn’t catch the very serious tone in Paul’s voice, that one word he used to describe what was happening to the Galatian Church, "bewitched", means "to be put under a magic spell, through witchcraft, so that something very undesirable has all the sudden become irresistibly attractive." In other words the people being bewitched in the Galatian Church had all of the sudden started believing Satan’s lie to be The Truth, and God’s Truth to be a lie! And of course the only possible way for these Spirit-filled, Spirit-led people to commit such a gross sin was to just flat out ignore the Holy Spirit.

And having established why it’s so important to be "tuned in and turned on" to God’s Holy Spirit, please allow me to show you how the Catholic Church bewitches it’s so called Christian followers into tuning Him out and turning Him off. Because going back to what the Catholic lady said about Catholic Scripture, we find: "I know that the Catholic Church is the only Christian Church which takes the *whole* of Scripture into account.

So what does it all mean? Well in the pure and simple, this Catholic lady says that the Catholic Church considers more than just the writings as found in the Inspired Word Of God (the Holy Bible; King James Version) to be inspired by God. In fact quoting one of their scripture producing saints (Saint Augustine), he said, "I should not believe the Gospel except as moved by the authority of the Catholic Church." In other words if the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t say it’s the Gospel it ain’t! And it’s right about here that I’d like to show you how they came up with that very bewitching "tuning out and turning off " belief.

Because turning now to one of the Catholics "other bibles" (1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church) we find the following information: "For the Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered." (Pg. 234, #882)

Now there’s no way possible for me to show you all the demonic doctrines hiding in the Roman Catholic Church. But for starters, let’s consider the fact that they consider themselves the one and only true church. In other words if you ain’t a Catholic you ain’t a "real" Christian. And the reason why they claim to be so all fired high and mighty is because of this fellow they call the pope (Roman Pontiff). You see they say their Roman Pontiff has been given the full responsibility to act in the behalf of Jesus Christ on earth. In other words now that Jesus has gone on to Heaven the pope’s been put in charge. And that’s right about where the term "Vicar of Christ" comes into play. Because in the pure and simple it means that the pope has the authority to be Jesus on earth!

So seeing how Jesus is perfect in every possible way... and the pope ain’t... in order for the pope to be Jesus on earth, he must somehow miraculously become perfect. Now for most of us folks that’s what you would call one more impossible task... but not for the Catholic Church! You see the Catholic Church has the bewitching ability to do anything they want through their "other bibles". And in order to make the pope as perfect as Jesus (in certain areas such as doctrines), the Catholic Church just went right on ahead and added the following lines in their Catholic Catechism (other bible): "In order to preserve the Church in the purity of the faith handed on by the apostles, Christ who is Truth willed to confer on her a share in his own infallibility... The Roman Pontiff... enjoys this infallibility in virtue of his office, when, as supreme pastor and teacher of all the faithful - who confirms his brethren in the faith - he proclaims by a definitive act a doctrine pertaining to faith or morals... This infallibility extends as far as the deposit of divine Revelation itself." (Pg. 235, #889 & 891)

Ain’t it neat the way they do that? I mean one minute the pope is just an ordinary person and the next minute he’s almost God. In fact according to what those last few bewitching lines did for the pope, he now has the ability to write all kind of "other bibles" without even being questioned. According to the Catholics, what the pope says goes! But why stop there? Why not go ahead and give a few more of the "upper crust" in the Catholic Church some of this bewitching power too? Why not just go ahead and make the priest God’s authorized interpreters for the Holy Bible: "The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition, has been entrusted to the living, teaching office of the Church alone. This means that the task of interpretation has been entrusted to the bishops in communion with the successors of Peter, the Bishop of Rome." (Pg. 27, #85)

I mean we’re really on a roll now! Between the pope, the priest, and the rest of the upper crust in the Catholic Church there’s no need for The Comforter. Remember Him? Remember what we read in John 16:7-13?: "Nevertheless I [Jesus] tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter [Holy Spirit] will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him [the Holy Spirit] unto you. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth [the Holy Spirit], is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

Now after having compared these three bewitching doctrines of the Catholic Church with John 16:7-13, can you honestly say that the Catholic Church is not blaspheming the Holy Spirit? And just in case you need a little help understanding that very difficult question, to "blaspheme the Holy Spirit" means to resist the convicting power of the Holy Spirit unto repentance. In other words the one doing the blaspheming actually "tunes out and turns off" the life giving power of the Holy Spirit. And seeing how the Catholic Church has so conveniently replaced the Holy Spirit’s "guiding into all truth and showing of things to come " with that of the pope and priests’ "interpretation and divine revelation", it just seems natural to me that the following has to apply to the Catholic Church: "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." (Matthew 12:30-31)

But let’s not stop here! I mean we’re just starting to get into the meat of things. In fact it’s the following divine revelation from the Catholic Catechism that sorta like paves the way for the rest of the story: "It is clear therefore that, in the supremely wise arrangement of God, sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium of the Church are so connected and associated that one of them cannot stand without the others. Working together, each in it’s own way, under the action of the one Holy Spirit, they all contribute effectively to the salvation of souls." (Pg. 29, #95)

Now what we have here is the bewitching mixture of what the Catholic Church considers to be "the divine three"; the Catholic Church’s Tradition, the Holy Bible (Sacred Scripture), and the Catholic Church’s ability to interpret what God says (Magisterium). And to help us better understand the difference between the Sacred Scripture and the sacred Tradition (it all gets very complicated), let’s once again go back to their "other bible" (the Catholic Catechism) and see what it has to say: "Sacred Scripture is the speech of God as it is put down in writing under the breath of the Holy Spirit. And (Holy) Tradition transmits in it’s entirety the Word of God which has been entrusted to the apostles by Christ the Lord and the Holy Spirit." (Pg. 26, #81)

So are you starting to see how this bewitching mixture of the divine three (tradition, Scripture, and interpretation) all work within the Catholic Church to destroy The Truth? Well the first thing to notice is that the Catholic Church’s Holy Tradition takes first place in their ranking of importance, with the Holy Bible taking seconds. And even though the Catholic Church does admit that the "Sacred Scripture is the speech of God as it is put down in writing under the breath of the Holy Spirit", they also say that this same Holy Bible ain’t complete without their Holy Traditions. In other words the Catholic Church says God’s Word (the Holy Bible), in itself, by itself, and of itself, just ain’t good enough!

And that brings up the point about whether or not these Catholics have ever read their Holy Bibles (under the anointing of the Holy Spirit) in the first place. Because you see in my Bible, on page 859, I find the following very important Scripture: "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5-6)

My Holy Bible tells me very clearly not to add anything to what’s already there. But of course that’s not what the Catholics believe, and that’s probably the reason why they continue adding just a little bit more to it. But just what, might you ask, is the real meaning of this "little bit more" (the Catholic Church’s "Holy Traditions")? Well I’m so glad you asked, and I’m so glad you asked me. Because what I’m about to tell you is the truth. And the truth of the matter is that when it comes to traditions you’ve got to be very very careful. You see traditions are nothing more than unwritten stories, beliefs, or customs that are handed down from generation to generation. And even though a right good part of the Holy Bible was considered to be traditions before it actually got put down in writing, those traditions are in no way similar to the Holy Traditions of the Catholic Church!

Because you see when it comes to traditions, you’ve got the "good ones" and then you’ve got the "bad ones". And what I’m about to prove to you is that the "Holy Traditions" of the Catholic Church are the bad ones, and the "Holy Traditions" of the Holy Bible are the good ones. In fact it was on December 12th, 1855, that this very special fellow named Ivan Panin was born in the country of Russia. Now Ivan was one of those people who not only didn’t believe in God but wasn’t even about to believe in God without some really good solid proof (agnostic). And it was amazingly so, that even though Ivan had this tremendous anti-God hang-up, God saw to it that he would be the one to discover the "good solid proof" needed for him (and a whole bunch of others) to believe.

You see Ivan Panin was born with a very special God-given gift of mathematics. And what Ivan didn’t know was that God Almighty was going to use this same gift to prove that He was God. In fact it was in 1890 that Ivan made the discovery of a mathematical pattern that was hidden inside the Greek New Testament. The way it all happened was that one day Ivan was casually reading, in the Greek, the first verse of the gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with the God and the Word was God..." And the one thing that kinda like got Ivan’s curiosity all stirred up was that the Greek word for "the"' preceded the word "God"' in one case but not in the other. It just didn’t make sense, he said!

So Ivan put his thinking cap on, and proceeded to do some figuring. And what he was figuring was how the number "7" started popping-up in strange and mysterious ways. You see not only does the number "7" appear many times throughout the Holy Bible in "word form", but it also appears throughout the Holy Bible in a very secretive "number form".

Now to help you understand what I’m talking about with this "number 7 in word form" thing, let me give you just a few examples of what I mean (starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation): In the Bible we find the Sabbath on the seventh day, the seven years of plenty, and the seven years of famine in Egypt, the seven priests and seven trumpets marching around Jericho, Solomon's building the Temple for seven years, Naaman's washing in the river seven times, the seven churches, the seven seals, the seven trumpets, the seven bowls, and the seven stars. All of these examples show the consistent use of the number 7 in "word form" throughout the entire Holy Bible.

That’s what we see in the number 7 "word form", so now let’s take a look at the number 7 in the "number form"... because without a doubt, this is the place where Ivan Panin really let his little light shine. You see in the original, the Holy Bible was written in both Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament). And even though the Hebrew and Greek "alphabets" are letters that are used to form words, they are also letters that represent numbers. So Ivan, being the mathematician that he was, started looking at these words as numbers. And before it was all said and done, Ivan not only discovered the answer to his question on the first chapter of John, but he also got the undeniable answer to his question of "is God real". And of course the answers that he got all revolved around his mathematical ability and God’s use of the number 7.

You see what Ivan discovered in this "number 7 number form" was that God Almighty had designed into the Scriptures a very complicated mathematical code that proved it was all from God. It became overwhelmingly obvious to him that hidden below the surface of the Scriptures were mathematical designs that could not possibly be just accidental or coincidental. There was no human explanation for the incredible and precise structure that he had discovered. It was all supernaturally designed by God, and the only thing Ivan could possibly do at that point in time was just believe in God.

So Ivan became a Christian, and then he continued to serve God by dedicating his life to the study of God’s mathematics. In fact by the time of his death, Ivan had dedicated 50 years of his life to accumulating over forty thousand pages of detailed calculations which covered most of the 31,173 verses contained in the Holy Bible. And in order to help you understand how God’s "number 7" really works, the following is just a sample of the amazing patterns in the vocabulary, grammatical forms, parts of speech, and particular forms of words that appear in the first 17 verses of the New Testament:

(1) The Number of words are divisible by 7 evenly (In each of these constraints, it is assumed that the divisions are without remainders.) (2) The number of letters are divisible by 7. (3) The number of vowels and the number of consonants are divisible by 7. (4) The number of words that begin with a vowel are divisible by 7. (5) The number of words that begin with a consonant are divisible by 7. (6) The number of words that occur more than once are divisible by 7. (7) The number of words that occur in more than one form are divisible by 7. (8) The number of words that occur in only one form are divisible by 7. (9) The number of nouns are divisible by 7. (10) Only 7 words are not nouns. (11) The number of names in the genealogy are divisible by 7. (12) There are only 7 other kinds of nouns. (13) The number of male names are divisible by 7. (14) The number of generations are 21, also divisible by 7.

Now after seeing all those "7’s", is there any doubt that God meant what he said in the following?: "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." (Psalm 12:6-7)

Ain’t it great the way God works! I mean when God spoke His Holy Words to His followers (traditions), that would later be used to put together His Holy Bible (all 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament), He made it 7 times sure that no "unholy religious system" would slip in their own counterfeit material and likewise claim it to be the Holy Word of God. And that’s why we can proudly say, without a doubt, that not only the Roman Catholic Bible (The New American Bible, which was translated by members of the Catholic Biblical Association of America and fully approved by the Roman Catholic Church), but also the Roman Catholic Traditions do not have God’s Authorization Code (number "7") on them. In other words what the Catholic Church claims to be the "True Word of God" (their sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium of the Church) is in reality nothing less than "the lie of Satan"!!!

So you see this dear sweet Catholic lady has been duped and deceived into trading in The Real Truth of the Holy Spirit for the real lie of the Roman Catholic Church. And even though I won’t go into a lot of details on the following Scripture, I will go so far as to say that what the Roman Catholic Church does through it’s doctrines, is to teach it’s members to become liars, and therefore lie about The Truth: "...all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 20:8)

And now that everyone understands the part about "the lies and liars of the Roman Catholic Church", why don’t we just take a few more minutes to look at just a few more of these lies from the 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church? Because the Roman Catholic Church says that in order to be saved you must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and.....................................

1) Be a member of the Roman Catholic Church which is God’s true church ("...all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the [Roman Catholic] Church which is his body:" Pg. 224, #846). Well even though that’s what they may say, my Bible (the King James Version) says something that’s just a little bit different: "Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him [Jesus]." (Romans 5:9)

2) Perform good works ("Even though incorporated into the [Roman Catholic] Church, one who does not however persevere in charity is not saved." Pg. 222, #837). That’s what they say, but once again it’s my Bible that openly disputes this (calls it a lie) in John 6:28-29, "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him [Jesus] who he hath sent."

3) Be forgiven of sins by the Roman Catholic Church ("The [Roman Catholic] Church, who through the bishop and his priest forgives sins in the name of Jesus Christ..." Pg. 363-364, #1448). That’s what the Catholics say, but that’s not what the Word of God says! In fact what the scribe said in Mark 2:7 kinda like fits this demonic doctrine perfectly: "Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?"

4) Be baptized in water ("The Lord himself affirms that [water] Baptism is necessary for salvation." Pg. 320, #1257). Now if water baptism is necessary for salvation, do you really think that Paul would have been saying what he said in I Corinthians 1:17? "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel..." Not on your life! Because the Word of God is very clear that it’s not the water that saves: "And he brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." (Acts 16:30-31)

5) Baptized infants ("The Church and the parents would deny a child the priceless grace of becoming a child of God were they not to confer Baptism shortly after birth." Pg. 319, #1250). Now this one is way on out there in "La-La Land". I mean first of all it’s not the water baptism that saves; it’s the act of acknowledging that one is a sinner and therefore trusting in (believing in) the Blood of Jesus to remove the sins. So you see for an infant child, it’s totally and completely impossible for them to even understand they are sinners in the first place... much less admit to it!

6) Eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ ("...by the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of his blood... Christ is present whole and entire in each of the species... cleansing us from past sins and preserving us from future sins..." Pg. 347, #1376; Pg. 347, #1377; Pg. 351, #1393). Now seeing how I’ve already used the term "La-La Land" once, I guess I’ll have to get a little more creative on this one. Because you see the truth of the matter is that the Roman Catholic Church actually teaches it’s members they are eating The Flesh and drinking The Blood of Jesus every time they take Mass. And likewise, it’s through this act of "Catholic religious cannibalism" that Catholics are forgiven of their sins! It’s what you call "get real people!" I mean if you really want to know the truth about this religious practice, please check out our Classic Sermonets series entitled Vampires In The Church!

7) Confess all (grave) sins to a priest ("One who desires to obtain reconciliation with God and with the [Roman Catholic] Church, must confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave sins he remembers after having carefully examined his conscience." Pg. 374, #1493). Now this one goes back to the beginning of the message when we were talking about the super-duper power bestowed on the Catholic upper crust through their Holy Traditions. But even though the Catholic Church says they can, the truth of the matter is that the priest can not forgive anybody. Because my Bible says in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." And if you really think that "confess" means "confessing to a priest", then read what Psalm 32:5 has to say about it: "I acknowledge my sin... unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin."

So have you heard enough of these Roman Catholic lies yet? Well there’s quite a few more that we could go over, but to tell you the truth I’ve got one more throbbing headache. I mean this stuff really gets to you after a while... even if you don’t believe it. And seeing how this thing has gone on for some twelve pages anyway, what do you say we just go ahead and shut it down for now? But wait just a minute. Hold your horses... I almost forgot one more thing. Before we wrap this one up I’ve got to make just one more comment on Ivan Panin and his God-given discovery. Because you see even though I only mentioned one particular bogus version of the Bible that didn’t have God’s "mathematical signature" (The New American Bible), the truth of the matter is that every Bible version ever written from the Westcott And Hort Greek Translation falls into that exact same category! And just how many Bible versions might that be? Would you believe all except the King James Version?

Now if you’ve only gotten one thing out of this message for today, I hope it’s The Truth about their lies. Because even though I know it’s a sad thing to say, this great big world of religion is sorta like chock full of them (lies). So seeing how The Good Lord has given us only one lifetime to study His Word (through the leading of the Holy Spirit), and understand The Truth, it’s my advice to you that you do exactly that!

So with that in mind, let me close with this simple yet true story: "Several years ago a Catholic priest, after having learned that his Catholic church was in error, asked Jesus to come into his heart and save him. In obedience to God he left the Catholic church, but every Sunday morning he returned to his old church and sat in his car in the parking lot. After Mass, as former parishioners walked by and recognized him, they’d say something like, ‘Hey, Father, we heard you left the church. What happened to you?’ He’d reply, ‘Yes, I left because something exciting happened. Hop in the car and I’ll tell you all about it.’ Using that method, he led over half his former congregation to true salvation in Jesus Christ."

Hell is a terrible place to be... forever! So why not hang up the phone, shut down the computer games, turn off the TV, and get into The Truth of God’s Holy Word... so that you can...

Keep on keeping The Faith In Jesus!!!

Letter From The Catholic Lady:

Dear Brother;

You wrote:

>I've gotten your last response but you are a whole
>lot faster than I am when it comes to writing. And
>until I can gather my thoughts (through the leading
>of the Holy Spirit), I've just got one question for

>of God, what would you do?

Well, such an "inner conviction" is rather subjective. I am immediately reminded of how the Mormons gain members to their false religion by asking potential converts to pray for a "sign", a "burning in the bosom" which will "prove" that the Book of Mormon is true. People have prayed and actually "felt" something, which convinced them to join the LDS church! Any Mormon convert could probably attest to this "experience".

Yet this cannot be of God, for the Mormon religion contradicts Sacred Scripture. The Bible says: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God" (I John 4:1).

So if I received a "conviction" that a Catholic doctrine is untrue, I would have to conclude that the "conviction" is notn of God, because God's word supports Catholic doctrine. I should probably point out here that while I was in Evangelicalism I was absolutely convinced that Catholicism taught heresies, and that God would basically agree with me. I believed that I did have an "inner conviction" from the Holy Spirit as to the untruth of certain Catholic beliefs.

When I look back, I can see that it was my own prideful spirit, not the Holy Spirit of God, which gave me that "conviction". I projected onto Him my own prejudice and presuppositions.

The true Holy Ghost would never contradict the holy word which He inspired. So the Spirit of God would never tell me that a Catholic teaching is untrue. All subjective feelings must be submitted to God's word.

Another problem with this approach: Evangelicals believe that the Holy Spirit teaches them what the Bible means while they study it, yet they often disagree amongst themselves on the interpretation of certain Scripture passages. God obviously cannot contradict Himself, so how can they all be "led by the Spirit" and come up with contradictory doctrines, yet each person is utterly convinced that his or her beliefs come from the Holy Ghost? They can't all be right!
