Dear Children,

Before we get started, I’d like to first give God all the glory for this sermonet. He is Lord! And now for the rest of the story.

Welcome back! It seems as though these weekly sermonets have almost stretched out into a semiannual event. I mean it’s been two whole months since we sent out our last sermonet Benny Hinn And The Pope. But you see the fact of the matter is that I write what I write after the Holy Spirit inspires me to do so, and if He doesn’t inspire me to write I don’t write. And it just so happens that even though Father God has been feeding me bits and pieces of information for this follow-up sermonet of today, it was not until Benny Hinn’s This Is Your Day program of 4/25/00 that everything finally fit together.

Because you see it was after having completed Benny Hinn And The Pope that I made sure Benny Hinn and a few of his close friends got a copy of the sermonet (Suzanne Hinn, Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, Paul Crouch, and Jesse Duplantis). In fact it was only a few days after going to print that six (6) Express Mail letters went out with both a personal letter and a copy of the full length sermonet. Yep! That’s what we did, and would you even want to venture a guess as to how many of these pastors responded to our concerns? Well... would you believe none (zero, zilch, nada). I mean the only way I knew they received our "desperate plea to help Brother Benny" was by their ministry newsletters. You see it appears that the only thing our letter did was get us on their mailing list.

Oh well, at least we tried. And to be honest with you that’s all Father God expects us to do. We can only warn others of their gross spiritual error, and the rest is left up to them. So it was two months ago that we warned Benny Hinn of his sinful ways, and based on this morning’s program of This Is Your Day it’s become pretty obvious what Benny Hinn intends to do. He is no longer being vague about why the picture of the pope is shown at the start of his show.

Because you see today’s guest on his program was a pastor from the Philippines, who’s church just so happened to be the "host church" for Benny Hinn’s most recent Philippine crusade. And just to clue you in on today’s earth shaking announcement, the following is a part of what this pastor had to say to Benny Hinn on the show: "...I don’t even know... if you even know the miracle that occurred the night that Father Archie [Catholic priest] was on the platform... We called him and asked him to join us... he’s a tremendous man of God... it began to heal the gap. Because for years there were those that preached and got a big war going between the Catholics and the Charismatics in the Protestant community... but you [Benny Hinn] came in and just brought a healing to that... an attitude shift... a man of your statue, a man of God of your statue came over and said ‘Hey, these people are going to Heaven, they are our friends. I went to Catholic school.’ And a healing took place."

Wow! Do you believe that? I mean this is the statement that leaves no doubt as to what Benny Hinn believes in when it comes to the Roman Catholic Church. And just to fill you in on a few of the missing links, the statement made by that pastor from the Philippines ("...those that preached and got a big war going between the Catholics and the Charismatics in the Protestant community...") could very well be directed at one person in particular... and his name is Jimmy Swaggart. Because you see it was Brother Swaggart who God called to deliver the message to the lost and dying souls in the Catholic Church. God asked him to boldly proclaim the gospel message that the Catholic Church can’t save anyone, and that’s exactly what he did. And the rest of what happened to Jimmy Swaggart is the result of what can happen to anyone who preaches The Truth about a Hell-bound religious system called the Catholic Church.

So now that we are certain (without a doubt) about what Benny Hinn believes in, and where he’s heading with the Catholic Church, let’s continue right along with this sermonet entitled Benny Hinn And The Catholic Church. And to kinda like get things rolling, I’d like to share with you a portion of three e-mails we received as a result of Benny Hinn And The Pope.

The first one was from an ex-Catholic, and it went like this: "I continue to find your sermonets very enlightening. The last one I received about Benny Hinn and the Catholic Church hit home. I was a Catholic for about 38 years before I changed. You are right, back then I believed in the catholic religion but I never really felt that the Catholic Religion perpetuated the glory of God and therefore I never considered myself a dedicated practitioner. There were two personal experiences that I encountered. First, being a catholic I decided to get married in a Catholic Church, my then to be wife and I had to sign an agreement that our children would be raised as Catholics before we could get married. Second, after having two children I decided to have them baptized, I was denied this because at the time I was not a practicing or participating member of the church it didn't matter that I believed in the Lord Jesus. Continue the fine work you are doing, there many of us out there like me who can read the scriptures but the full meaning sometimes escape them. I must admit that I do look toward your sermonets and prayer to help me understand the Word."

All right, so the first one was from an ex-Catholic, and I’m assuming this second one was from a Protestant: "I just read your sermonet... it was enlightening. I will visit the site again in the future to read the other things. By the way, I am "spirit-filled", enjoy Benny Hinn, and anyone else who preaches the Word with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. There are many who deceive, yet He promised this would come. He's just fulfilling His Word."

And now for the third one, which was, without a shadow of a doubt, from a Catholic! In fact even though this Catholic’s response was very critical and lengthy, what I’m about to share with you should pretty much nail down the overall message in just a very few words: "The distortions of the Faith in that article are so many. Such distortions may impress an uninformed Protestant, but not an informed Catholic." ( click here for Catholic Lady's full length letter)

OK, so the information we’ve received in these three e-mail responses to Benny Hinn And The Pope, are pretty good indicators of what our present day Christian religious system is like. Because you see the ex-Catholic learned the Truth the hard way (been there and done that; snake bitten by the Catholic religious system but yet lived to tell about it), the Protestant knows the Truth but seems not to be getting any too excited about it, and then you’ve got the full blooded Catholic (snake bitten and not recovering) who maintains the "Catholic Way" is the only way.

And seeing how we’ve brought on this very interesting discussion about "Catholics and Protestants", what better time than now to do one of those "mini" history lessons. But before we go to Funk and Wagnalls Encyclopedia for their description of the story, let’s turn to the Source of All Truth, the Holy Bible, for the Real Truth. Because reading from the book of Luke, chapter 13, verses 18-30, we not only find Jesus giving a message on the church but we also find Him giving it to one of those churches (synagogues) to which this message applied:

"Then said he [Jesus], Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. And again he [Jesus] said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened."

Now before we finish up with the rest of that Scripture (verses 22-30), let’s first try to understand what the seed, the garden, the tree, the fowl, the leaven, the woman, and the meal is all about. Because you see it was in the Garden of Eden where God’s Kingdom all started. God made Adam for Himself; to trust in, obey, and worship God the Father. Adam was first, He then made Eve, and from that point on it would be Adam’s seed that would continue to grow this mustard plant (the Kingdom of God) by producing more and more little Adams and Eves. But from the very get-go there was a problem in growing this plant. Because even though more and more little people were being produced for God’s Kingdom, there were only a very few of them actually trusting in, obeying, and worshipping God as God the Father demanded. In fact going back to the beginning of God’s Kingdom, up until the time of the flood, the very few who actually qualified as God’s faithful followers were Abel, Enoch, and the family of Noah.

So you see even though this mustard tree (the Kingdom of God) should have grown fairly tall by the time of the flood, it hadn’t. In fact after the flood it really didn’t even start growing again until Abram (Abraham) came on the scene. Because it was right about then that this one man’s dedication to serving God really made this mustard tree start to sprout. And of course one very important thing to remember is that all this new growth on the mustard tree was because of all them folks called the nation of Israel (seed of Abraham).

Now even though it was good that the mustard tree had finally started to grow, it was bad because the fowls of the air could now perch on it’s branches. So you see by the time Jesus gives this parable in Luke chapter 13, these roosting fowls in the Kingdom of God had actually gotten pretty thick. And to help you understand the type of damage these fowls tend to do, let’s go back to Mark 4:14-15, and read a portion of the "parable of the sower": "The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts."

So did you catch on to the symbolism? Well you see the fowls are none other than "Satan’s little helpers" gobbling up the seeds (the Word of God) sown for the Kingdom of God. And the truth of the matter is that a Christian ain’t a gonna remain a Christian too long without a healthy daily dose of the Word of God. Now seeing how it’s Satan’s desire to destroy the Kingdom of God, the easiest way for him to do it is by taking away the Word of God. It’s what you call spiritual starvation. And getting back to parable of the mustard tree, even though it had gotten pretty big, it certainly wasn’t what you would call any too healthy. Because you see them buzzards (fowls) kept right on eating up the mustard tree’s nourishment (the Word of God).

All right, so now that we’ve finally made it through the mustard tree and it’s buzzards, let’s see if we can figure out what the woman, the meal, and the leaven is all about. Well seeing how everybody in the Kingdom of God likes to eat, and seeing how those old mustard tree roosting buzzards kept right on eating up their health food (the True Word of God), it’s only natural that Satan would come up with a food substitution in order to keep everybody satisfied. And that’s right about where the lady (Satan’s helper; religious leaders) comes into the picture with her leaven (poison; corruption) laced bread (meal). It’s what you might want to call a filling but yet very deadly bread for the Kingdom of God.

So you see even though Jesus is the Bread of Life (Word of God), and even though He physically came to earth to present His Word to His people, it was most of these same folks in the Kingdom of God who actually rejected the Life Giving Bread that He brought. And that’s the very good reason why Jesus taught these parables in the synagogue, in front of the most unholy religious leaders of that time, who likewise weren’t any too happy about it. I mean after all, why should they be? They were the ones actually handing out this Bread substitute.

Now are you starting to get the picture? The True Word of God (which is the Bread of Life) gets gobbled up by Satan’s buzzards (the fowls of the air), and the substitute that Satan puts in it’s place is none other than the bread of death (meal with leaven) produced by Satan’s hard working evil woman. And it’s in the remaining verses of Luke 13 (22-30) that we find out what happens to this mustard tree (Kingdom of God) after it begins it’s diet of Satan’s poison bread:

"And he [Jesus] went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gait: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out, And they shall come from the east, and from the west; and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last."

You see it’s just like we talked about in Benny Hinn And The Pope, there are bunches of folks in the Kingdom of God (Christians) who have claimed the saving power of the Blood of Jesus but yet they’re still gonna bust Hell wide open. And the reason why their flight plans will be slightly altered at their time of death is because they are some of the many who’ve been tricked into eating Satan’s bread of death. Christians can’t get into Heaven unless they’re fed the True Word of God. And one of the biggest religious systems in the Kingdom of God that continues feeding this bread of death to it’s followers is the Catholic Church.

And even though this is some terribly awful stuff, it’s really nothing new. In fact going back to what my dear Catholic friend said in her e-mail, "Such distortions may impress an uninformed Protestant, but not an informed Catholic" we can see that there must be some kind of difference between what’s called the Protestants and the Catholics. So what is the difference?

Well this is right about the place where we turn to Mr. "Funk and Wagnall" for help. Because looking up the subject "Protestantism" we find the following information: "Protestantism, one of the three major divisions of Christianity (q.v.), the others being Roman Catholicism and Orthodoxy. Protestantism began as a movement to reform the Western Christian church in the 16th century, resulting in the Protestant Reformation (q.v.), which severed the reformed churches from the Roman Catholic church. The declared aim of the original reformers was to restore the Christian faith as it had been at it’s beginning..."

So you see what really happened way back then was that a few folks in the Kingdom of God got fed up eating what the Catholic Church was feeding them (Satan’s poison bread). And in order for them to get back on their heavenly diet of The Bread of Life they revolted against the Catholic religious system by forming the Protestant Reformation. And believe you me, without a shadow of a doubt, these dedicated Protestants were very determined to chase out all the buzzards in the mustard tree.

In fact one very important key player in this reformation movement was John Wycliffe. He was one more God fearing man who was determined to get the True Bread of Life back to the people. And that’s exactly what he did with his first complete translation of the Bible into the English language. But even though that was one more awesome accomplishment, that ain’t even all that he did. Because you see in addition to his English translation, he also publicly denied the Catholic’s demonic doctrines of priestly power of confession and absolution (the practice of confessing all sins to the priest so that these sins can likewise be forgiven by the priest [Jesus is the only one Who can forgive sins]), rejected penances and indulgences (the practice of performing good works, which quite often includes cash donations, in order to make amends for sin), and denied the hoax of transubstantiation (the practice of the priest supernaturally turning the communion bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus for the congregation to consume [cannibalism] so that they might become one body in Christ). John Wycliffe made one more big hole in the Catholic religious systems armor... and then they had him burned at the stake.

So as I hope you can see by now, this battle to keep the Bread of Life (True Word of God) as the spiritual food for the Kingdom of God has not been without much pain and suffering. Thousands and thousands of dedicated "Protestants" have given their lives in order to get The Truth to the people of the Kingdom of God. In fact if you really care to find out how many different ways Satan has of killing off those who protest his "bread of death feeding program", why not check it out for yourself in The Vatican's Holocaust.

But anyway, after so many years and so much blood, here we are today, the Kingdom of God, forgetting about the buzzards in the mustard tree. You see Satan is one more sneaky old devil. He knows the best way to get people to believe that the buzzards are really only song birds is through his very own Christian spokespersons. And it’s through the following news clipping that the truth was told concerning one of Satan’s little helpers: "Bob Jones III, president since 1971, and his father, Bob Jones Jr., who died in 1997, have been sharp-tongued about those they believe have abandoned the strict teachings of the Bible, including Billy Graham and the pope. Graham should not have reached out across denominations for his crusades, Jones III says. And rather than meet Pope John Paul II when he visited Columbia in 1987, Bob Jones Jr. said he would "speak to the devil himself.""

Now I know there are many loyal supporters of Bill Graham who won’t agree with the statement made by Bob Jones, but the fact remains that what he said is the truth. Billy Graham acted as a spokesperson for Satan when he "unequally yoked" the Protestant faith with the Roman Catholic religious system. That was way back in 1987, so let’s see what thirteen (13) short years of Brother Graham’s example has done for us.

Reading once again from a news clipping dated March 23, 2000: "Washington - Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert appointed a Catholic priest as the House chaplain on Thursday in an attempt to end a controversy that has roiled the body for months and sparked charges that the speaker was anti-Catholic. Daniel Coughlin, a priest from Chicago who was recommended to Hastert by Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, was sworn in by Hastert on the House floor only a few minutes after the speaker addressed the House to announce his appointment. Coughlin thus became the first Catholic to hold the post of ministering to House members and their families.

So what, might you ask, is so bad about a Catholic priest being given the position of chaplain for the House of Representatives? Well would you believe that ever since it’s beginning (1789) the United States Congress has had enough "religious sense" to remember why the Protestant Reformation was started in the first place. The Catholic Church and it’s priest are not of God, and furthermore their influence in our United States Government will only accelerate Satan’s bread of death feeding program in the Kingdom of God.

But, even though all this gloom and doom is now upon us, you certainly can’t say that we haven’t been warned (I believe that’s what the Protestant e-mail said)! Because you see in addition to all the parables and warnings we find in the Scriptures, God has gone the extra mile by giving us what you might want to call a few extra news flashes on the side. In fact it was only back in 1965 that God gave a very strong warning to the Kingdom of God through a prophetic message delivered by Stanley Frodsham. So as you read what God had to say through Stanley, please keep a mental picture of those "Bread of Life" stealing buzzards and that "bread of death" making woman:

The Darkness Ahead: "When I visit My people in mighty revival power, it is to prepare them for the darkness ahead. With the glory shall come great darkness, for the glory is to prepare My people for the darkness. I will enable My people to go through because of the visitation of My Spirit. Take heed to yourselves lest you be puffed up and think that you have arrived. Many shall be puffed up as in the olden days, for many then received My Message but they continued not in it. Did I not anoint Jehu? Yet the things I desired were not accomplished in his life. Listen to the Messengers, but do not hold men's person's in admiration. For many whom I shall anoint mightily, with signs and miracles, shall be lifted up and shall fall away by the wayside. I do not do this willingly, I have made provisions that they might stand. I call many into this Ministry and equip them; but remember that many shall fall."

Keep Your Eyes Upon The Lord: "They shall be bright lights and people shall delight in them. But they shall be taken over by deceiving spirits and shall lead many of My people astray. Hearken diligently concerning these things, for in the last days will come seducing spirits that shall turn many of My anointed ones away. Many shall fall through various lusts because of sin abounding. But if you will seek Me diligently, I will put My Spirit within you. When one shall turn to the right hand or to the left you shall not turn with them, but keep your eyes wholly on the Lord."

The Coming Days: "The coming days are most dangerous, difficult, and dark, but there shall be a mighty outpouring of My Spirit upon many cities. My people must be diligently warned concerning the days that are ahead. Many shall turn after seducing spirits; many are already seducing My people. It is those who do Righteousness that are Righteous. Many cover their sins by theological words. But I warn you of seducing spirits who instruct My people in an evil way. Many shall come with seducing spirits and hold out lustful enticements. You will find that after I have visited My people again, the way shall become more and more narrow, and fewer shall walk therein."

Deception:"But be not deceived, the ways of Righteousness are My ways. For though Satan comes as an angel of light, hearken not to him; for those who perform miracles and speak not Righteousness are not of Me. I warn you with great intensity that I am going to judge My house and have a Church without spot or wrinkle when I come. I desire to open your eyes and give you spiritual understanding, that you may not be deceived but may walk in uprightness of heart before Me, loving Righteousness and hating every evil way."

Eyes Of The Spirit: "Look unto Me, and I will make you to perceive with eyes of the Spirit the things that lurk in darkness that are not visible to the human eye. Let me lead you in this way that you may perceive the powers of darkness and battle against them. It is not a battle against flesh and blood; for if you battle in that way, you accomplish nothing. But if you let Me take over and battle against the powers of darkness, then they are defeated, and then liberation is brought to My people. I warn you to search the Scriptures diligently concerning these last days. For the things that are written shall indeed be made manifest. There shall come deceivers among My people in increasing numbers who shall speak for the Truth and gain the favor of the people. For the people shall examine the Scriptures and say, what these men say is true. Then when they have gained the hearts of the people, then and only then shall Satan enter into My people."

Seducers: "Watch for seducers. Do you think a seducer will brandish a new heresy and flaunt it before the people? He will speak the words of Righteousness and Truth, and will appear as a Minister of light declaring the Word. The people's hearts shall be won. Then, when the hearts are won, they will bring out their doctrines, and the people shall be deceived. The people shall say, did he speak thus and thus? And did we examine it from the Word? Therefore, he is a Minister of Righteousness. This that he has spoken we do not see in the Word, but it must be right, for the other things he spoke were true. Be not deceived. For the deceiver will first work to gain the hearts of many, and then shall bring forth his insidious doctrines. You cannot discern those who are of Me and those who are not of Me when they start to preach. But seek Me constantly, and then when these doctrines are brought out you shall have a witness in your heart that these are not of Me."

The Mixture: "Fear not, for I have warned you. Many will be deceived. But if you walk in holiness and uprightness before the Lord, your eyes shall be opened and the Lord will protect you. If you will constantly look unto the Lord, you will know when the doctrine changes and will not be brought into it. If your heart is right I will keep you; and if you will constantly look to Me, I will uphold you. The Minister of Righteousness shall be on this wise: his life shall agree with the Word and his lips shall give forth that which is wholly true, and it will be no mixture. When the mixture appears, then you will know he is not a Minister of Righteousness. The deceivers speak first the Truth then error, to cover their own sins which they love. Therefore, I exhort and command you to study the Scriptures relative to seducing spirits, for this is one of the great dangers of these last days."

My Word: "I desire you to firmly be established in My Word and not in the personalities of men that you will not be moved as so many shall be moved. Take heed to yourselves and follow not the seducing spirits that are already manifesting themselves. Diligently inquire of Me when you hear something that you have not seen in My Word, and do not hold people's persons in admiration ---- for it is by this very method Satan will destroy many of My people."

Now even though that was what God had to say through Stanley Frodsham back in 1965... if you’re really truly honest with yourself, about everything we’ve covered for today, you should be just a little bit concerned about where we’re at in this story. I mean just take a look at what’s happened during the last dozen or so years. The Protestant Reformation brought us out of the darkness and into the light... but all of the sudden we’re heading right back into the darkness at a break neck speed.

It’s really unbelievable! And what makes it sooo unbelievable is that Satan’s even using the same trick that he used to trip up Adam and Eve. I mean the warnings are everywhere! In fact check out what Paul had to say in II Corinthians 11:3-4: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

So how in the world did Old Splitfoot manage to get Adam and Eve kicked out of the Kingdom of God? Well you see his plan consisted of a snake, a woman, and some bread. Because it was the snake (buzzard) who first took away the Bread of Life (Word of God) from the woman, and then very promptly substituted the bread of death (poison bread; meal with leaven) in it’s place. And since seeing is believing, why don’t we read it for ourselves: "...And he [serpent] said unto the woman, Yea, hath not God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:1-5)

That was all it took for the woman to stop believing The Truth (The Bread of Life) and start believing the lie (Satan’s bread of death; poison bread). So you see Satan first used the serpent to trick Eve who then convinced Adam to take a bite. Ain’t Satan tricky? He’ll use a lot of different people (ones you should be able to trust; Christians?) over an extended period of time to try and destroy the Kingdom of God... and he’s really pretty good at what he does.

So you see this is the way Satan’s worked to destroy God’s Kingdom since the beginning of God’s Kingdom. And getting back to the statement made about Benny Hinn on the This Is Your Day show ("Hey, these people [Catholics] are going to Heaven, they are our friends. I went to Catholic school."), anybody who knows anything about the Catholic religion will understand this statement to be the lie that it is. And just what if, you might ask, Benny Hinn is ignorant of the lie that he’s telling? Well the truth of the matter is that in the end it’s not going to make too much difference. Because you see all those who believe what Benny Hinn is saying about these "Christians" in the Roman Catholic Church will likewise fall into that ever darkening world of "another Jesus" ("For he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted...") ( II Corinthians 11:3-4)

You see even though Benny Hinn might have started out his ministry preaching The Gospel, it’s when he began preaching this "another gospel" of the Catholic Church that everything’s guaranteed to change. His Holy Spirit anointed services will, without notice, become services anointed with "another spirit". Satan is the "angel of light", and he does one more bang up job of imitating the Holy Spirit. This is serious business!!!

In fact to shut this one down, why don’t we read the very stern warning from God, as found in Deuteronomy 13:1-5, concerning these false prophets such as Benny Hinn: "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death... So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee."

Now even though the description pretty well fits Benny Hinn ("If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them...") we are certainly not expected to follow through with the ending of that Scripture ("...that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death..."). That part of the Scripture is what God will do if Benny Hinn doesn’t change his ways before it’s too late.

So you see even though what Benny Hinn is doing will result in many people losing their chance of Everlasting Life, we must continue to pray that somehow he’ll be able to receive The Truth and turn away from the lie. But in the meantime, God will probably allow Benny Hinn to continue preaching "another Jesus" in order to find out who is really dedicated to following the One True Jesus (...for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.). Satan’s deceptions are very very tricky, and his fake substitutions look awful close to the real. As the end time approaches it will become more and more critical that each and every Christian (Blood-bought, Born-again, Spirit-filled Believer) dedicate every available moment to prayer and the study of The Holy Bible in order that they might escape Satan’s deceptions and make it on in to Heaven.

The Kingdom of God is real... and so is Satan’s plan to stop it. Don’t get caught in Satan’s trap, but...

Actually, I had thought that you were going to respond to my critique of your interpretation of I Peter 3:21. But as long as you've written me....

I read your sermonet, and it makes me very sad. You did not take to heart anything I said in our email exchange. You are still recommending anti-Catholic literature which distorts the faith ("Smokescreen" and such), and you're even touting the writings of Charles Chiniquy, hardly a paragon of Christian virtue.

Did you know that he was thrown out of the priesthood for stealing, and was later thrown out of the Episcopalian and Presbyterian churches for similar malfeasance? One Episco-palian bishop said of Chiniquy "I wish when the pope weeds his garden he would not throw the weeds over the fence into ours". Even Protestants were aware of his corrupt ways!

Where to begin? The distortions of the Faith in that article are so many. Such distortions may impress an uninformed Protestant, but not an informed Catholic. First, the Catholic Church is *not* the Whore of Babylon. For proof of this, see the following two online articles:

You judge the state of our souls, saying "at least all the Catholics, who truly believe in and practice the teachings of the Catholic Church, are not holy in the eyes of God". *I* believe in and practice *all* the teachings of the Catholic Church, so in your mind that would apply to me. With all due respect brother, you have *no right* to judge the state of my soul (Rom 14:3, 10)!

Your analysis of I Timothy 4:3 is a misinterpretation, pure and simple. St. Paul is opposing certain Gnostic heretics of his day, who *absolutely* forbade people to marry and taught that the eating of *any meat ever* was sinful. The Catholic Church, of which Paul himself was a bishop, does not do this!

In fact, Paul himself was not married during his ministry (1 Cor 7:7-8) and says that it is good for some people not to marry in order to dedicate their whole lives to God (vvs 1, 7-8, 32-34). And Jesus spoke of those who make themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of God (Matt 19:12).

So the Bible clearly teaches that consecrated celibacy is a blessed state, and people who become nuns and priests choose to embrace it *of their own volition*! The Church does not force anyone to become a priest or a nun. People are free to marry if they choose, and if not they are free to become priests or nuns.

Moreover, we do not absolutely forbid the consumption of meat, but only on certain days. We do this to deny our flesh, so it is a practice akin to fasting, which Jesus commanded us to do (Matt 6:16-18).

We do not forbid everyone to eat meat, nor do we demand total vegetarianism all the time. That's what the Gnostics did, and that's what Paul is condemning. But elsewhere he tells Christians:

"Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand". (Romans 14:3-4)

So why are you judging us because we choose not to eat meat on certain days? St. Paul says you are wrong to do so!

"He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks". (vs 6)

When we eat not meat, we eat it not *unto the Lord*! We do it for God.

So that misinterpretation of the Scriptures does not hold up. And your hatred for the Pope is baffling. He is prophetically decrying the sins of abortion, contraception, homosexuality, and many other such things which the spirit of this age has foisted upon us. Most other Protestant denominations have waffled on one or more of these points, but the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ holds firm, and will hold firm to the end of time (Matt 16:18).

The Catholic Church is not a man-made religious system. If only you could see her with the eyes of faith, you would see that she is the New Jerusalem, our Mother (Gal 4:26). She is the Body of Christ. We are not saved by the Church, we Catholics are saved by Jesus Christ, the one Mediator of Salvation. But in order to be saved we must be "in Christ", members of His Body the Church. So through the Sacrament of Baptism we are incorporated into the Body of Christ (I Cor 12:13). Jesus saves us by making us members of His Body, the Catholic Church.

Jesus is the one Mediator of salvation, but that does not mean that no Christian can pray for another. I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that you have been praying for me. If Christians on earth can pray for each other, then why not Christians in heaven? That is the intercession of the saints in heaven! They are not additional "mediators" equal to Christ, for their intercession is dependent upon His Mediatorship, even as ours is.

No, we do not pray to a deceiving spirit, we pray to the Blessed Mother of Jesus Christ (Luke 1:48). We use the very words with which the angel Gabriel greeted her: "Hail full of grace, the Lord is with thee" (Luke 1:28), and the very words which the Holy Spirit inspired St. Elizabeth to say to her: "Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb" (Lke 1:42). There can be no mistake as to whom we are addressing, for we use the words of the BIBLE!

When we do so we ultimately honor Jesus Christ, for we say "blessed is the fruit of thy womb, JESUS"!!!! We are honoring Jesus! Jesus is not the fruit of some demon's "womb" (God forbid!), He is the fruit of Mary's womb! So *she* is the one we are addressing, using the very words of the Bible.

We also do not intend to pray to any evil spirit. We *intend* to pray to Jesus' Mother, so she is the one to whom we pray! God knows that, for He looks upon the intention of our hearts, but you judge us by outward appearance based on your private interpretation of the Bible (despite the fact that God condemns private interpretation of Scripture - II Peter 1:20)

I don't know if anything I just wrote meant anything to you. I don't know whether your heart is open to the truth or not (I don't presume to judge your heart, as you have unfortunately presumed to judge mine).
