Dear Children,
Before we get things rolling, let’s first of all come to the understanding that the intended purpose of this message is to heal (correct) and not to destroy. Because you see this week’s message is dedicated to the healer himself; Benny Hinn of the This Is Your Day show. And just in case you’ve somehow missed his well known TV program, he’s the preacher who makes large audiences fall down by merely saying the word "touch". Brother Hinn is a miracle working preacher who’s helped thousands of folks get their deliverance from all types of nasty ugly problems. So just how do you figure he does it?
Well the answer to that one is easy! You see Brother Hinn does what he does through the Power of Jesus Christ (the Holy Spirit). In fact you might even say he’s just an ordinary man chosen by God to perform mighty miracles in the name of Jesus. And even though Brother Hinn might be ordinary, the job that he’s been called to do is anything but! So seeing how he’s got such a special job to do for the glory of God, wouldn’t you think it pretty likely that Satan’s gonna try to mess it all up? Yup, because that’s exactly what this letter is all about.
You see it was sometime back in November of 1998, that the Lord had me write Brother Hinn a letter... and it went something like this: "I enjoy watching... the healing power of God work through mere mortal human beings... However we all know that even though the physical bodies of these people might be receiving their healing it does not mean their souls are "healed" as well (salvation). And this is the point that I feel led by the Lord to focus on. In fact it was one day as I watched the start of your program This Is Your Day that I noticed a picture of the Pope included with an assortment of others. And then as I continued watching day by day I also noticed a very special love you have for the Catholic people. Well it’s good that you love them, but if you truly love them you’ll be warning them about the Hell bond religion they’re linked up with. Now please don’t get me wrong, because the Catholics are not the only ones in this predicament. You see the church world is full of deceivingly false doctrines and you need to be warning all these lovely people about them. God has given you a healing ministry and thousands of faithful followers... and now He expects you to tell them the truth."
So that was what I wrote Brother Hinn some thirteen long months ago. That was then, this is now, and judging from the looks of things I would dare say that not a whole lot has changed. I mean seeing how the Pope’s smiling face still shows up at the beginning of each program, it only stands to reason that this is the reason why Father God wants to give it one more try. Because you see it was on the 15th of October, 1999, that the Lord gave Arthur, Hadassah, and myself several Scriptures dealing with Benny Hinn and his ministry. He gave us the Scriptures, but it was only just recently that He gave me the final go-ahead to use them. So... after a whole lotta praying and studying of the Word, what I’m about to share with you today is what the Lord has given me to give to him.
OK, so I guess the best way to start this one off is to just lay it all out in black and white. I mean let’s not waste any time beating around the bush. The bottom line reason why Father God is so concerned about Benny Hinn’s association with the Pope and his Roman Catholic religion is because the spirit of the Catholic religion is one and the same as that which is found in Revelation 17:1-6: "...the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. ...MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. ...drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus... "
You see God’s name for the religious system of the Catholic Church is none other than that of a prostitute (whore or harlot). And even though I’d love to go into the details of why Father God has such strong words concerning the Roman Catholic faith I won’t. Because you see if you really want to understand the truth you can take advantage of two very good easy-to-read books that are available on our Web Site at http://www.fmh-child.org. So now that we’ve made it abundantly clear what the Catholic religion stands for, let’s get it on back to the main issue at hand. And while we’re on the subject of hands, I believe very strongly it’s God’s hand that’s moving in many great and powerful ways to overcome the deception that Brother Hinn is mixed up in (the Pope and the Catholic religion). Because you see it was during the writing of the last sermonet (Who’s Gonna Be In Hell) that Brother Hinn just happened to be teaching on the same Scripture that the Lord had given me for our message: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."(Matthew 7:21-23)
That was the Scripture, and surprisingly enough we both agreed on it’s meaning. Well... pretty much so anyway. You see Brother Hinn used this text as a means of encouraging his supporters to help him do what God has called him to do. He said that the part about "I never knew you" would be the consequences he would suffer if he didn’t spread the gospel throughout the world. And even though I totally agree with Brother Hinn on the consequences of not obeying God the Father’s command to spread the gospel throughout the world, I totally disagree with his definition of "the gospel". Because you see what I know God the Father has to say about apostate religions, and what I see Brother Hinn doing daily out of admiration to the Pope and his apostate religion, are what you might want to call the very exact opposites. The gospel of Jesus Christ is The Truth that exposes all error so that lost and dying Hell bound sinners might be saved!
And that my friends is exactly why God the Father has given Benny Hinn this one more awesome gift of healing. You see it’s because of God’s miracle working power on Brother Hinn that people from all the various religions of the world flock to see him. That’s what brings them in, but it’s only The Truth that’s gonna save them. So if Brother Benny starts preaching The Truth against the apostate religions of the world, there will be quite a few religious folks get delivered from the burning fires of Hell. They will get healed of religion, but the wrath of the most unholy religious world will likewise come crashing down on top of Brother Benny’s head. Tough choice huh? Either obey God and make the religious world unhappy, or disobey God and make God the Father unhappy ("I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"). Understand?
I mean there are so many "unsaved" Christians receiving their healing through Brother Benny’s ministry, and the Catholics just might be in the majority. Because you see even though they might profess the name of Jesus, their bottom line commitment is to a religious organization called "The Roman Catholic Church". In fact Jesus said in John 3:3 "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." And it’s only through this born again experience that God the Father through the Holy Spirit (not a religious system) can have complete control of our lives. This is what gives us the strength and commitment we need to make it into the Kingdom of God! In fact it was only in the previous chapter (John 2:23-25) that Jesus said what he said about the real dedication of most folks: "Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man."
And just what do you think Jesus knew about "people" that He couldn’t trust? Well you see the truth of the matter is that people have a very hard time staying dedicated to Jesus. It just kinda comes natural for folks to want-to trust in other people, organizations, churches, and religious systems. So even though there might be lots and lots of folks dedicating their lives to Jesus, you can count on the fact that most won’t stay that way. I mean let’s get real! Even though Old Splitfoot has made some pretty dumb mistakes in his lifetime, he’s got it all together when it comes to religions. He knows how to get the people to worship the religion instead of Jesus. And the one religious system he’s kinda like done one more outstanding job with is the Roman Catholic Church. Because this is the corrupted religious system of the world that I believe will very shortly become The Universal Church of the world (MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT). That’s what Satan wants, and the Roman Catholic Church is more than willing to prostitute itself in order to make it all happen.
Therefore seeing how Jesus came to save the lost, which even includes the Christians in prostitute religions, it’s up to Brother Benny to tell them The Truth. He must not only preach out God’s message against the teachings of the Catholic Church, but he must also disassociate himself with the Pope as directed by II Corinthians 6:14-18 and 7:1: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
Now with all that in mind let’s continue on with each of the specified Scriptures that the Lord has given us to give to Brother Hinn. And starting it off with Numbers 4:15, we have: "And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation."
All right, so do you have the slightest clue where God’s taking us? Well don’t feel bad because it was one more loooong time before I finally got the message myself. I mean out of all the Scripture Father God gave us for Brother Hinn, this was absolutely the toughest one for me to understand. But, now that I’ve got it, let’s see if I can somehow explain it to you. You see the book of Numbers deals with the nation of Israel after their great escape from Pharaoh, Egypt, and slavery, but before their arrival into the Promised Land. And it was during that long 40 year hike in the wilderness that the Lord did some pretty neat things in order to draw His chosen people closer to Him... with just one of them being His holy tabernacle.
You see God’s tabernacle, in the true sense of the word, is nothing less than His holy house. And even though us humans were originally designed to be the holy house for God, it was only after Adam did what he did in the Garden Of Eden (he sinned) that each and every one of us kinda like became unholy real quick. But seeing how Father God didn’t want to just give up on us unholy sinners, He came up with an alternative plan; a plan that would not only allow Him to live close to His chosen people (the nation of Israel) but would also allow His most unholy people to worship Him. And it was because of this plan that the tabernacle and the priesthood came into existence.
Are you still with me? Well seeing how the nation of Israel was on one more long journey through the wilderness, this house of God (tabernacle), with all it’s holy furniture, had to be portable. So God made His house both portable and holy, and He even chose a very special family to take care of it... which just so happened to be the tribe of Levi. But as simple as all this might sound, it really wasn’t. Because you see the actual upkeep, care, and moving of God’s house was so complicated that it took a total of 8,500 Levites to do it.
Now if you can hang on for just a little bit longer we’re going to get where we’re trying to go. Because even though these men (all 8,500 of em) were from the same family (the tribe of Levi), God divided them up into three separate groups. And it was each one of these three groups that likewise had their very own unique job to do in the tabernacle of God. Three groups, with three jobs, and one of them was the Kohathites. And looking at it in round numbers, there was somewhere around 2,750 of these Kohathites who had the most prestigious job of moving God’s most holy furniture when it came time to move. So without a doubt, these very special people were picked for a very special job, that had to be done in a very special way, so that the very special people wouldn’t end-up dead! Got it?
Well you see the truth of the matter is that both God and His furniture were holy, but the Kohathites weren’t. And in order for these unholy people to be exposed to His most holy furniture God had to come up with a system called the priesthood. And it was through this very elaborate process that the priest from the tribe of Kohath (Aaron and his sons) became "holy" enough to look at and handle God’s holy furniture without being struck down dead by the power of Almighty God. So whenever it came time to move, the priest had to first cover all the holy things of God (His furniture) so that the rest of the Kohathites could move them without loosing their lives. And seeing how this furniture moving business was soooo very dangerous, it became the responsibility of Priest Eleazar (the eldest son of Aaron) to make sure that none of these Kohathites looked at or touched any of God’s holy things before they had been properly prepared. So it was Eleazar’s job as priest to constantly remind the rest of the Kohathites that God will not tolerate anyone unholy to look at or touch His holy things!
So how in the world do you figure all this fits in with Brother Hinn and his ministry? Well by taking a closer look at the meaning of the word "priest" we’ll discover that these are special people who can draw near to (approach) the Divine Presence of God without being struck dead by the Power of God. And what makes them so special is the fact that they have first of all been chosen by God and set apart as His own, and secondly because they are holy. And relating all this back to God’s chosen Scripture in the book of Numbers, even though the sons of Aaron were from the family of Kohath, they were the only ones chosen out of that family to have the special ability to be "holy" through the priesthood. In other words it took more than just the name of "Kohath" to be holy enough to approach God.
Whew! Now even though you could call that a mouthful, that ain’t even all! Because without getting into too much more detail, what we’ve just discussed from the book of Numbers all happened before Jesus shed His blood on the cross. That was then and this is now. But now that Jesus has already shed His blood for the sin of the world, we can all be holy, and we can all be priest. And as priest (followers of Christ made holy by the blood of Jesus) we have God’s authority to not only approach the Divine Presence of God but also handle the most holy things of God. Hallelujah!!!
However... the one thing we must remember, as we approach God in all of His glory, is that the same rule that applied to the Kohathites still applies to us today. You see even though there might be a whole bunch of folks calling themselves Christians (Kohathites), the name in itself does not guarantee anybody’s holiness. And of course seeing how God said in Numbers 4:15 that death would come to any unholy Kohathite touching the most holy things of God, wouldn’t you kinda expect a whole bunch of unholy Christians to be laying around dead? Well the truth of the matter is that the death God was referring to is not so much the physical as it is the spiritual. And because of the fact that a spiritually dead person can live for many years before dropping out of sight into the everlasting fires of Hell, that’s the very same reason it’s so dangerous!
Wow, we did it! And now that we’ve finally said all that about Numbers 4:15, let’s get back to Brother Hinn and his faithful followers. So just how many of those folks, do you figure, might call themselves Christian who really aren’t holy? Well I think I can truthfully say that at least all the Catholics, who truly believe in and practice the teachings of the Catholic Church, are not holy in the eyes of God. And I also believe that God has given us this Scripture from the book of Numbers as a very serious warning to Brother Hinn. He is the son of Aaron (Eleazar) and it is likewise his responsibility to warn each and every one of his "Christian" (Kohathite) followers not to touch the holy things of God unless they are holy.
Boy is this ever intense! And believe it or not but we’re only just getting started. Because now that we’ve said all that, this is as good a place as any to head on into the second God-given Scripture for Brother Hinn. And reading from I Timothy 4:1-2 we find, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
What perfect timing! I mean seeing how it is possible to be a "Christian" (Kohathite) and yet end up deader than dead because of unholiness, there should be a whole bunch of folks wanting to get a better grip on what the word "holy" really means. And of course it’s through this Scripture of I Timothy 4 that we’re going to do exactly that. Because you see in my Bible there’s a very descriptive heading of "Predictions of Apostasy" preceding these two verses. And seeing how "apostasy" means to depart from the faith, it only stands to reason that nobody can turn away from the faith (depart from it) until they’ve first come to it. And by going back just a few verses to chapter 2, verses 5 and 6, we can find out what "the faith" and "true holiness" is all about: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
OK, so "the faith" that makes us "a Christian" is "the act" of believing that Jesus Christ was God in Heaven (the Word), Who became The Man (through a sinless "natural" birth process), Who lived a sinless life and died a sinner’s death but yet was resurrected into life everlasting. Because it was this Perfect Sinless Human Blood Sacrifice on the cross that God the Father required so that us sinful people to be made "sinless". So you see by accepting Jesus’ Sacrifice as the only way for us to become sinless, we then have "the faith" that makes us "holy". But that’s only the beginning. Because once we become holy through Jesus’ Perfect Blood Sacrifice, we stay holy by allowing the Spirit of Jesus (the Holy Spirit) to take control of our lives.
You see Jesus did it all, and He did it all through the cross. He is the mediator (connection) between God the Father and us. He makes us holy through His Blood, and He keeps us holy through His Holy Spirit. In fact that one name Jesus is what this thing about "faith" is all about: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus..."
And now that we’ve come to a better understanding of the words "faith" and "holy", what do you say we take a look at what it takes to turn away from it (become unholy). Because by going back to I Timothy 4:1-2 we can see that "in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron." That’s the clue to unraveling the great mystery of unholiness! So have you got it figured out yet? Well let me help you out. It’s "the seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" that cause us to turn away from our faith and become unholy. And now that we know what causes it, do you think you could recognize one of those damnable spirits if you had to?
Well I certainly hope you can. Because even though this "spirit recognition" thing is so very critical in maintaining a holy lifestyle, there are way too many Christians who actually find it impossible to do. That’s the way it is, but that ain’t the way it has to be. You see God in His Awesome Wisdom took care of our "lack of spiritual understanding" by having Paul describe these spirits for us in verse 3: "...giving heed to seducing spirits... Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."
So did that turn on the light for you? Were you able to catch a glimpse of those seducing spirits? Well I did, and believe you me we’re talking some pretty heavy stuff here! The way to recognize those Hell-bound "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" is by their religious beliefs. And two of these "doctrines" straight from "the pit of Hell" are the religious practices of forbidding people to marry and forbidding the eating of meats. Now just what religious organization (seducing spirit) do you know of that requires their faithful followers to obey these doctrines of devils? Well let me give you a hint. Do you remember that smiling face of the Pope I was telling you about earlier? Well he’s the king pin in this most unholy organization that likewise causes a whole lotta people to be the same (unholy). Because you see in order for Catholics to become a priest or a nun they must deny themselves the God-given privilege of marriage. God says that marriage is good... but the Catholic Church says no! And then comes the part about the Catholic’s religious feast days. God says that eating of meat is good... but once again the Catholic Church says no!
So are you starting to see these "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" just a little bit clearer? Well just in case you might need a few more descriptive details (for identification purposes only), how about those seducing spirits on the Catholic prayer line? You see the way this "prayer line deal" is suppose to work is that a person (on earth) prays to some well-known departed "saint" (in Heaven) who then "hand carries" the prayer directly to God the Father. This is what the Catholics call "prayer intercession". And of course seeing how the Catholic system has made soooo many "prayer intercessors" available, I’ll only mention the fact that their most popular model goes under the name of Mary. But is this "Mary" that the Catholics pray to really "Mary the mother of Jesus"? Fat chance! You see these dedicated Catholics have been duped into praying to a "seducing spirit" they call Mary. And just what do you suppose this praying to demonic spirits is gonna get them? Does the word "unholy" ring a bell?
I mean this is absolutely unbelievable! Would you ever have imagined that such an unholy religious scam operation could continue on for so long? Well it has, and it will, because it’s good at what it does. You see the way it works is that the more the Catholics practice their "doctrines of devils" the more the "seducing spirits" take control over their spirits. In fact Paul describes this ongoing process as "some shall depart from the faith... having their conscience seared with a hot iron." And seeing how the Holy Spirit corrects us through our spirit conscience, it shouldn’t be any too hard to figure out that the chances of getting The Truth through a "smoked up" (seared) conscience is slim to none. In other words the Catholic religion not only makes people unholy but it does a pretty fair job of keeping em that way too!
So that my friend is why the Catholic religion is so terribly awful bad! And now that we’ve said all that, what better time to move on into Matthew 13:15 with the next Scripture for Brother Hinn: "For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear."
Now to help you keep all this in a proper perspective, the Scripture on "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" (I Timothy 4:1-2) was a short-form description of the most unholy religious system called the Catholic Church. That’s it in a nutshell; plain and simple, down and dirty. But you see Matthew chapter 13 is just a little bit different in that it represents the Christian Church as a whole. In other words whether they’re holy or not, all the religious systems claiming the name of Jesus come under this one particular Scripture. And boy oh boy, what a Scripture it is!
Because when it comes to the Christian Church, this is undoubtedly the Scripture where the rubber meets the road! I mean Jesus laid it all out in red and white when He said that even though His Church would continue to grow in size throughout the years, so would the rot and corruption from within the church. In other words even though Christ Church was founded on the teachings of Jesus, there will be many within His Church to turn away from the Gospel Truths and turn to the doctrines of devils (lies of religion).
And likewise it’s this same deception from within the church that’s potentially the most dangerous for The Church. You see God’s not about to throw around His power by atomizing apostate religions. I mean even though the thought does have it’s appeal, our Heavenly Father has decided to let them stick around and grow their rot and corruption right on up until the time that Jesus comes (the second time). And even though this doesn’t seem to be the way it ought to be, this is the way it’s going to be, because God the Father wants to make sure that we as Christians are determined to be what we say we are (holy).
So seeing how it’s left up to the Christian "to be or not to be" (holy), and seeing how the Word of God makes it abundantly clear that the Catholic religious system is unholy, why do you figure more and more Christian Churches are running out to meet them with arms wide open? Well there ain’t no doubting the fact that along with the Roman Catholic Church’s very religious looks, they’ve also got lots and lots of money, power, and influence (MPI). And it’s through a combination of all of these tempting fleshly things (TFT) that Satan and his seducing spirits have produced an unmistakably unholy religion that many are willing to call holy.
And it’s right about here in this "unholy process" that Jesus made His point very clear in Matthew 13:15: "For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed... lest at any time... I should heal them." You see for all those Christians who know The Truth but yet are willing to ignore The Truth, God the Father has promised they will keep on ignoring The Truth right on into the burning fires of Hell! And that’s what I call one more serious promise.
So you see within The Church we have both the holy and the unholy. And even though many of the unholy are hopelessly lost because of their willingness to be unholy, there are still quite a few who are innocently unholy through a lack of knowledge. And of course it’s because of us who know the truth and accept the truth that the rest of Matthew 13:15 applies: "But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear."
Glory Be To God!!! Hallelujah!!! Thank You Jesus!!! I am Blessed!!! And just in case you ain’t too hip on this word blessed, it’s got just a few more very long lasting effects. Because reading from Revelation 14:13 we find: "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
So just what do you think God’s talking about when He uses this word Blessed? Would you believe the wondrously glorious everlasting rewards of Heaven? I mean were talking about Perpetual Paradise (PP)! It’s going to be exciting with a capitol "E", and God doesn’t want anybody to miss it! And even though all the "holy" Christians will be there, there will be quite a few unholy ones who won’t. Unholy Christians ain’t allowed to touch the holy things of God, and Heaven just so happens to be one of them! But even though many of these unholy Christians have eternally sealed their doom through a willing acceptance of the "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils", there are still quite a few of them who can have their eyes and ears opened to The Truth.
And this is right about the place where we head on into the next Scripture for Brother Hinn. Because it was some time back on one of his shows that this lady and her Catholic priest came on stage to testify of her healing. Now that part I could handle, but what happened next just kinda like sent my "spirit" right on into overdrive. You see Brother Hinn went on to lay hands on the lady, and then on the priest. And it was during this "hands on the priest" thing that Brother Hinn likewise asked Father God to anoint "the priest" with the healing power of the Holy Ghost.
Talk about coming unglued! Well that’s what I did! Because you see it was the Spirit of God within me that likewise alerted me to the fact that this was not what Brother Hinn should have done! And it was in the following God-given Scripture to Brother Hinn that the reason should become pretty obvious: "Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure." (I Timothy 5:22)
You see even though we might not understand everything that’s going on in the spirit world, there is one thing we do know for sure: the world of "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" is something we definitely don’t want to be a part of. And even though it was bad enough that Brother Hinn’s showed approval of this priest and the Catholic religion that he represented, only God knows the rest of the story. I mean the Scripture certainly seems to imply that when a Christian lays hands on someone who is "unholy", thus asking Father God to bless them in their unholiness, it will result in the sins of that most unholy person becoming a part of the use-to-be holy one.
So do you figure that’s what’s happened to Brother Hinn. Do you figure that’s the reason why he can’t see the truth about this deadly Catholic religious system? Well I for one have a personal liking for Brother Hinn and his ministry, and that certainly includes all of his faithfully following unholy Christians. And now that Father God has identified the problem through all these God-given Scriptures, what do you think we should do next?
Well of course I’ll do everything within my power to get Brother Hinn a copy of this message, but somehow I feel that the following last and final Scripture is of far greater importance: "And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in the body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed..." (I Corinthians 5:2-3)
So what does it all mean? How did God intend this Scripture to be used in the healing process for Brother Hinn? Well you see these two very short verses were only a very small part of what Paul had to say about the very large problem of fornication. And even though this "fornication" that Paul talked about was one of physical sexual intercourse between a Christian (once holy son) and his mother, it was also a spiritual sin against his Heavenly Father. It’s what you call a double whammy. But even though there were two sins in one, the most damnable of the two was that of spiritual fornication.
You see without getting into a whole lotta detail, every time a child of God commits a sin against God they allow the spirit of Satan to become a part of them. In fact in the broad sense of the word that person has actually committed spiritual fornication with the evil one himself. So going back to the Scripture of Revelation 17:1-6, this is how the kings and inhabitants of the earth can have fornication with the religious system called Mystery Babylon: "...the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
And getting back on the subject of Brother Hinn, what he is doing through his involvement with the Pope and the Catholic religion is none other than committing spiritual fornication with the great religious whore. That’s what he’s doing and of course that ain’t what God wants. So just how do you figure we’re going to help him see this very dangerous condition that he’s in? Well that my friends is where the rest of this Scripture comes into play: "And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you."
Because it was only recently the Brother Hinn celebrated his ministry’s 25th anniversary. And it was during the events of that elaborate undertaking that many well known Christian celebrities, such as Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, and Paul Crouch, gave their public testimonies in support of Brother Hinn. And even though I certainly don’t know all the facts, this is what I feel God the Father is referring to in the part about "being puffed up and not mourning".
You see it’s our responsibility as Christians to not only live our lives as a children of God, but also to help others do the same. In fact it kinda like all goes back to the priestly responsibilities of Eleazar. If we see another brother in the Lord (Kohathite) who has unknowingly become unholy in his Christian walk, it’s our responsibility to make him see the dangerous position that he’s in. But if that brother has become so spiritually blinded by the seducing spirits that he just can’t see his unholiness, then it’s up to us to physically withdraw our support of him.
And this is right about where we get into the part about being all "puffed up". You see it really ain’t too awful hard to get all blowed up like a bullfrog when God the Father starts laying on His Spiritual gifts. And it was evidently in this situation with Paul and the church of Corinth, that everyone, including the fornicating brother, felt as though they had reached a spiritual level that was above sin. In other words they had gotten to the place of such great importance in the church that their sin was no longer sin. Understand?
So the question is, has Benny Hinn’s brothers in Christ (Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, Paul Crouch, and etc.) noticed his problem with the Catholic Church and not warned him of the consequences? Could it be possible that they have warned him of the problem but yet continue to support him in his unholy ways? Or just maybe the problem is that all these fine Christian brothers have also become blinded and unholy by the Roman Catholic "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils"?
Please pray for Brother Hinn’s healing. His miraculous gift from God will either result in millions being saved or millions being damned... it only matters how he uses it. (See Benny Hinn And The Catholic Church! (4/30/00) for additional information on Benny Hinn.)
And in closing, please allow me to once again say what God continues to put on my heart. The religious world of today is in serious trouble. The lie has become the truth and The Truth has become a lie. The only way any of us will survive these very confusing times is through a dedicated Spirit-led lifestyle of prayer and a study of the Word.
So whatever you do, stay away from Satan’s seducing spirits and doctrines of devils at all cost! Don’t get tripped-up with his most unholy religious systems, and most certainly don’t be led astray by preachers who’ve gone astray! Because if you’ll only keep your eyes on Heaven, and your heart in the Word, you will
