AND “FAITH WARRIOR MINISTRIES”

What a time it’s been seeing this God-ordained message through to completion! But praise be to Jesus for His deliverance from the spirit of confusion which seeks to bind and thwart God’s plan for His saints.

My first meeting with the man who has referred to himself as “Thunder Dan” (a.k.a. Dan Hanshaw) was at the Franklin Mountain Cyclery bike shop. Brother Bruce and I were seeking another Christian Brother who runs a business next to the bike shop, when the Lord directed me to pay the bike shop owner what I owed him for tightening the spokes on my wheelchair. (I have depended on wheelchairs for mobility due to the paraplegia I have suffered from a spinal cord injury in a motorcycle accident.)

In seeking the Lord for this message, I found the experience of writing to be much the same as when Bruce and I met to “break bread” with Brother Dan in our humble apartment living room. Dan made twists and turns on “rabbit trails” – as he calls them – and the disordered and disjointed thinking that follows him got “on” us, making it a strain to regain one’s train of thought. We found it difficult to discuss a single subject of the Bible because Dan digresses onto “rabbit trails”, as he calls them, a way that he avoids being confronted with the truth that God wants to apply to his life.

In ministering to Brother Dan, we were engaging in “spiritual warfare” with a man who believes that he is performing and teaching “spiritual warfare” for the Lord. Brother Dan is a “deliverance” minister who is DEMONIZED – who himself needs DELIVERANCE! The cause of this is that he is not allowing the Lord to have control of his life – obeying God in all things. Brother Dan is yet prideful and carnal, receiving not the correction of the Lord! Dan is yet in the flesh.

We could continue to expound upon the Holy Scriptures here, which we have done in this message – but unless Brother Dan repents of his wayward, stubborn, and rebellious heart toward God’s Living Word, the preaching of the truth will only continue to be repelled by a heart of “adamant stone” (Zechariah 7:12). The Lord Jesus says that “Thunder Dan” Hanshaw follows a WAYWARD path!

The Lord says that Brother Dan is “turned away”, “capricious” (inconstant, impulsive, unpredictable), “wanton” (undisciplined, unruly, mischievous), and “depraved” (perverted). Dan resists walking in the Spirit and the prayerful seeking and suffering that it requires. He must instead choose the straight and ordered path that God has ordained for him to walk in instead of the “broad” and “crooked” (perverse) paths of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Brother Dan is yet out of order!

The Lord has brought this message of correction to Dan, a man called of God to be a last days prophet, declaring to Dan that he is not exercising faith toward Lord Jesus Christ, but he is “wayward” (turned away) from God and the “perfect law of liberty” that gives life (James 1:25, Psalm 19:7). Brother Dan is guilty of the same thing that the Israelites of old were guilty of, in that he is “…Right in his own eyes.” - Judges 21:25 (KJV).

The daily devotional My Utmost For His Highest gives us insight into a person who is self-willed:

“Impulsiveness is all right in a child, but is disastrous in a man or woman – an impulsive adult is always a spoiled person. Impulsiveness needs to be trained into intuition through discipline…”

Brother Dan is “impulsive” and “spoiled” because he acts according to his own will, instead of obeying the voice and leading of the Spirit of the Lord.

“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to OBEY is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” - 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV)

Because Dan serves his own selfish motives instead of seeking and OBEYING the Voice of the LORD, his “sacrifice” is not found to be acceptable by the righteous judgment and justice of God:

“The Bible is the written word of God, and because it is written it is confined and limited by the necessities of ink and paper and leather. The Voice of God, however, is alive and free as the sovereign God is free. 'The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life>.' The life is in the speaking words. God's word in the Bible can have power only because it corresponds to God's word in the universe. It is the present Voice which makes the written Word all-powerful. Otherwise it would lie locked in slumber within the covers of a book...This universal Voice of God was by the ancient Hebrews often called Wisdom, and was said to be everywhere sounding and searching throughout the earth, seeking some response from the sons of men.” - A.W. Tozer (1896-1963)

The Bible teaches about God (the Lord Jesus Christ), and Who He is. But the Bible is easily misused or abused, leaving well-meaning people in religious bondage to doctrines of men, even the Scriptures:

“Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?” - Colossians 2:20-22 (KJV)

“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” - 2 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV)

Dan often lives by the “dead letter” of the Scriptures, and fails to live and walk by the illumination and leading of the Spirit of the Lord. Walking in “the letter” and not “in the Spirit” only creates an appearance of holiness, while leaving “dead men’s bones” – the vile corruption of sin within. Dan possesses a form of godliness, but he is denying the power of God’s gospel to change his life:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” - Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)

If Dan is going to get it right with the Lord Jesus Christ and the perfect plan He has for Dan’s life (God’s ways are higher than Dan’s ways) he will have to lay down his stubborn pride and do what God wants him to do!!! Dan will be able to overcome sin in his life only by taking up his “cross” and following in the steps of Jesus – choosing to “suffer in obedience” as directed by the Holy Spirit, which includes GROWING HIS HAIR LONG. Talk about a prophet (Dan) who must obey and be persecuted! Especially when the prophet (Dan) has been telling others how long their hair should be! “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” - Revelation 3:5 (KJV)

Dan must become a “word processor”, and he can do that by allowing God’s words and commands for his life (the Word of God and the Spirit of God) to overcome his sinful flesh as the Holy Spirit is integrated into his mind (becoming “born again”) through his obedience. Jesus died on the Cross so that Dan could hear God and obey God, which is the “power to becomes sons of God” (John 1:12). This is exercising true “faith”, and is how a sinful man such as Dan can be change and become part of the righteous “Bride of Christ”.

Dan is called to work and minister with the FMH Children’s Club International prophetic ministry, as we are called to work with him. The thrust of this ministry the Lord has given us is to “die” to the flesh and become “alive” in the Spirit as we “hear God and obey God”. We are called to help people “walk in the Spirit”, the “Way of the Cross” – which is to be “fool crazy” and suffer for Jesus! That is the way the Lord defeated sin for us, and the way that we may now walk in His light and overcome (destroy) the temptation of sin (rebellion and disobedience to God) that “so easily besets us”:

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me…Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions [sufferings inflicted by hypocritical “Christians”]; and in the world to come eternal life.” - Luke 9:23-24, Mark 10:26-30 (KJV)

The Lord has commissioned us at FMHCCI to help Dan walk in the very challenging and difficult charge to “Walk in the Spirit”. So Dan must embrace the cross of suffering and shame (persecution) that God has ordained for his life, that he may “hold fast” to the “crown” that is reserved for him (eternal life):

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh…Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown” - Galatians 5:16, Revelation 3:11 (KJV)

Dan’s problem of rebellion and waywardness is exemplified in the things he hasn’t done according to God’s will, which includes having a web presence on the FMHCCI ministry website. This is where a “conflict” arose:

Dan takes on “deliverance” campaigns that can last a few months, and include many names. He refers to such an endeavor as a “conflict”. It happened that a conflict of a different sort unfolded after the Lord had us to begin posting Dan’s ministry papers about “spiritual warfare” and “faith in Jesus Christ” on this website (www.fmh-child.org). The Lord had us to pray with Dan over each of his papers to be posted so that any corrections or adjustments that the Lord wanted could be made. Two of Dan papers were posted on the ministry website, but when Dan regarded the time for his papers being posted on the internet as being too slow and cumbersome for him, he became frustrated. Within a few weeks time, we received a call from an officer with the El Paso Police Department telling us that a “civil complaint” had been made against [Brother] Bruce Hallman by plaintiff [Brother] Dan Hanshaw. The complaint was filed by Dan concerning his ministry materials that had been submitted to the FMHCCI ministry website, but had not been released to him upon his request. When I heard about the complaint being filed against Bruce I was shocked. Then I was surprised when the Lord instructed Bruce to take down Dan’s page from the website, which in Dan’s eyes meant we could not sell his ministry papers to our website visitors (readers). Dan was able to get his way without even praying against any person or any devil – he just made a call to who he refers to as “Johnny Law” (El Paso Police). His concern was that the FMH Children’s Club International would “sell” the papers he written to others, for financial gain. Brother Dan has since produced his own website for “Faith Warrior Ministries” (www.faithwarrior.net) where his ministry papers can be viewed and also purchased on a set of audio CDs.

When someone who claims to have power over devils resorts to calling the cops to have ministry materials released, I just have to ask the question, “Is Dan’s power for real?” If so, why go to the cops? Instead of “casting out devils”, which is the “work” Dan pursues with persons that become an offense or an inconvenience to him, Dan opted for getting the cops (secular authorities) involved in the matter. Dan went against God’s will when he did this, because it was the Lord’s will for Dan to minister with us and have his papers published through the ministry website. This is a sad commentary on my Brother Dan, who aspires to be a “faith warrior” for Jesus.

The truth is that Brother Dan has not received the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to do the “greater works” that Jesus spoke about, which is the gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4), because his life is not submitted to the Lord. He has not walked in God’s established order of surrender, in order to receive “power from on high” (Luke 24:49). Dan is not of (submitted to) the Lord allowing Jesus to be his lord – therefore Dan can’t do the “greater works” for the Lord – which he is ordained to do! God’s anointing will only manifest in Dan’s life by him choosing to allow his faith to be tested, by him laying aside the flesh, and by him being willing to suffer in obedience to God's commands and direction for his life: That’s God's will God's way.

Dan believes that ministering his way is just fine and right. His prideful self-confidence tells him that his way is “equal”, holy, and righteous before the Lord. But Dan is walking in his own righteousness, and the ministry he now walks in is a FARCE! Dan wants to be spiritual and at the same time control his surroundings, circumstances, situations, and yes – people that he says get in “his face”. Dan is willing to take on opposition, such as the owners and managers of the Diablos baseball team in El Paso. He seeks to cast the devil out of as many who manage and play at Cullen Stadium that he may see the team called by a name that is more comforting to him. Dan doesn’t know it, but as he is ministering threats and coercion) in order to get sinners to submit to what he believes is the will of the Lord – or else he will take away their power to sin (resist him and the Lord) by casting out their devils. This is not the “Way of the Cross”, and when Dan resorts to these kinds of arm-twisting measures for tearing down the world, the flesh and the devil, he is in reality leaving a BLACK MARK on Christianity and is giving faithful Christians a BAD NAME.

Dan is like the Biblical brothers James and John, the sons of Zebedee. Jesus named them the “sons of thunder”. The similarity between Dan and these two brothers is that their names, and at times their words and actions, point to the fact that they seek to punish unbelieving sinners. The “sons of thunder” were the ones who asked the Lord Jesus if they should call fire down from heaven to punish a village of the Samaritans (Samaritan people) for rejecting the gospel of the kingdom. Dan has stated that those that have faith in Jesus Christ can exercise “control” over sinners (and also professing Christians), by removing the demons from them that empower them to sin (even though they have no desire to change). Often Dan ministers “deliverance” to those who have opposed him or caused him an inconvenience in some way. Therefore we can punish them by using the power of Jesus Christ to bind or cast the demons out of them. This is how Dan fulfills his selfish desire to have power over people and to control his surroundings. Brother Dan believes that “it is always God’s will to cast out demons.” Is that a true statement? Let’s go to the words of Scripture and see what our “Prime Example” the Lord Jesus Christ said about His “walk”:

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise…I can of mine own self do nothing…” - John 5:19, 30 (KJV)

The phrase from the last verse (vs. 30) is an amazing statement when we face the fact that it is Jesus Himself, speaking. What He is telling us is that without the anointing of the Holy Spirit within Him and upon Him – empowering Him to do great exploits for His Heavenly Father – He can do nothing! He declares that “…What things soever he [the Father] doeth, these also doeth the Son…”

Jesus didn’t pick Himself up to go anywhere, or do or say anything that He was not first instructed the Spirit of His Father to do. Let’s go to the words of Scripture and glean once more from the lips of Jesus:

“But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” - Matthew 10:19-20 KJV

Jesus walked in the Spirit to fulfill his life and mission here on earth. He defeated sin for all mankind. And through the power of His the “power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death”, we can die to our old carnal nature, and live through His Spirit (for more about how the “chain of command” operates in the Godhead and the life of the Believer, see “Yahweh – Three In One” at www.fmh-child.org).

See, even though Brother Dan complains that people don’t listen, listening to Godly correction and counsel is something that Dan has failed to do. This is why this message was ordered by the Lord because Dan’s “waywardness” is not only endangering his own life and salvation, but he is poisoning anyone who believes and receive ministry from him. May the Lord convict Dan’s heart. That's why I say, "I love you Brother Dan, REPENT or PERISH!!!"

“I beseech you therefore, brethren [Dan], by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [by suffering in obedience to God’s voice and leading for your life] that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” - Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

“Let your light so shine before men [by power of the Risen Saviour through a life of self-denial], that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

Dan’s “Dirty Laundry” List
(Examples of the spirit of error inhabiting Brother Dan and "Faith Warrior Ministries")

1) Dan’s Deliverance Ministry To The False Prophet (“Harlot” Church) Of Revelation!

Brother Dan aims to “work” with the Pope (the antiChrist, but adds that the time to do so has not come yet (The “Pope” is the False Prophet mentioned is Scripture, who will establish and enforce the “catholic/ universal”, One World global religion under the tyrannical readership of the “antiChrist” (the word “catholic” means “universal”). Because the “Pope” is part of the “unholy trinity” of the AntiChrist, he is fully man (“666” – the “son of Perdition”) who is forever without the communication and salvation of Jesus Christ). Dan’s error is in believing the “Pope” can be “worked” with and “delivered” of his demons. Another example of how the devil has Dan “chasing his own tail” and squandering precious time and energy (for more on the “Whore” of Revelation, read chapter 7 of the book “A Woman Rides The Beast”, called “A City On Seven Hills” (reference to Rome, Italy) at www.chick.com, “The Mark Of The Beast” at www.fmh-child.org/666.html, and “www.spirituallysmart.com”.

2) “Curses” Through Conversation!

Brother Dan regards “cursing” and the pronouncing of “curses” as one in the same (lumps them all together). Disrespectful and ugly and ritual witchcraft/satanism/black magic are all the same to Dan. An “off the cuff” ugly word or remark works the same as ritual magic or spell cast by person deliberately and knowingly serving Satan. For example, if a person were to call you a name on the street, it could cause you to cut yourself when you use a kitchen knife. Because Dan does not “Walk in the Spirit”, he is actually “cursing” (stopped trusting) God!

“Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.” [stop trusting, lit. bow down, meaning do it some other way than to do it God’s way]) - Job 2:9 (KJV) -

3) Ministering “Deliverance” To “Sinners” And “Saints” Alike!

Removing The Sinners “Power” To Sin, Dan does “deliverance” on “sinners” and “Christians”, alike. He knows the Scripture where Jesus said, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” (Matthew 12:43-45). But he claims that the devil that comes to take up residence in the person is not the same devil that he cast out of the person. These are different devils than the ones originally cast out of the person, because when he cast out devils, they go “where Jesus sends them”, he claims. The devil that comes to take up residence in the now “delivered”, unrepentant person, is filled with seven other devils more wicked than himself. This serves to pile on the devils after doing a “deliverance” on someone who neither wants help, nor is yet prepared to “walk out” their deliverance and salvation. This is non-sense ministry! Deliverance must be initiated by the Holy Spirit, who knows when to give an individual the opportunity to commit themselves to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ. The people in the Bible who Jesus ministered deliverance to were only the individuals who had faith to be ministered to (or a parent stood in the gap for them) - demoniac of Gadara (Mark 5:1-21), the daughter of the Gentile mother who declared that “the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the Master's table (Matthew. 15:21-28), and the boy that fell oft in the fire and in the water (Mark 9:17-29). Dan ministers “deliverance” to folks who do not profess Jesus as Lord, and therefore do not desire to receive His Word and Spirit. Dan says people feel bad and weakened, upon deliverance, because they have lost there demonic power to sin against God (no power to sin against him, he hopes). This is WRONG. They’ve got their SINFUL FLESH left – as does Dan! People feel relief and liberty when bondage is broken (Mary, Demoniac). People receiving “deliverance” from Dan prayers/ministry feel worse, because he is actually doing witchcraft . He's not following God's will doing these things – but his own fleshly and misled desires!

4) Apostle Paul’s Demonic Travels?

Dan has some strange interpretation of scripture: Dan regards the experience that Apostle Paul had when he was caught up into paradise (whether in the body or out of the body, the Scripture says he did not know) as being a demonic experience. Dan supposes the “chief apostle” was dabbling in astral projection (physic travel through the “astral plane” or various spirit worlds)! What could be more ludicrous than the suggestion that Apostle Paul performed witchcraft to visit heaven?!! Especially when the Scripture says, “I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord”? And just speaking briefly of “paradise” and hearing “unspeakable words” so as not to be boastful, he went on to speak of his infirmities. No, this was a supernatural revelation so gripping that our words can never relate it. Dan denies the glory of God, in exchange for his personal glory and power, through self-will.

“It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.” - 2 Corinthians 12:1-5 (KJV)

5) Don’t Bother The Boss (Weary Our Heavenly Father)!

Dan claims that to ask God for direction in everything we do would be like talking your office manager or boss at work, and wearying him by seeking to get orders from him. Dan believes that this manner of continually seeking the Lord would cause Him to lose patience, as if the LORD God has the same fleshly weaknesses and shortcomings as an EARTHLY master. That is a flawed comparison, because God does not have the fleshly limitations of store managers and bosses. The Heavenly Father greatly desires that we seek Him in prayer, and that we “pray without ceasing”.

Much of the time Dan acts, thinks, and “ministers” from his enduring carnal nature, instead of being spiritually minded (1 Corinthians 2). This is evident in the analogies he makes between the spirit realm and the natural realm (Ex. – One would not want to weary the manager or boss at his a job by constantly asking him what to do, and so we surely would not want to risk trying the patience of God by asking Him for direction. That is a flawed comparison, because God does not have the fleshly limitations of store managers and bosses. The Heavenly Father greatly desires that we seek Him in prayer, and that we “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 4:17) – seeking His will for what we are to do with the time and energy He gives us [to “reconstruct” the “temple” – we are His “temple” of the Holy Ghost – and to build the kingdom of God].

6) Holiness Is Optional?

Dan balks at the requirement to be “holy” in order to speak [write and record]. “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” - 2 Peter 1:21 (KJV) This is because Dan has a license to sin! When he sins, he applies his deliverance technique to the “devil” he allowed in, and the sin and the devil are no more. Really? Not quite. Sin comes easily and naturally for the flesh. Dan isn’t serious enough about divorcing himself from “the unfruitful works of darkness.” “Deliverance” from sin comes through suffering and sacrifices.

“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.” Ezekiel 33:11-13 (KJV)

“If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. “ - John 5:16 (KJV)

7) Binding “Devils” Through Witchcraft (Control And Manipulation)!

Dan has a calling to minister God’s truth and therefore God’s deliverance, but Dan does “work” of deliverance while miles away from the people (sinners) he wants to free from having demonic power. This is one reason Dan is unable to take authority over the devils; they are not present for him to speak the work of authority to them. When Dan refers to a sinner he has stripped (“delivered” him) of his demonic power, he mentions that the sinners “work is done” (while at an El Paso Police station one day, he mentioned that he was “working” with Osama Bin Laden – having to explain that he was doing the rich Muslim“work” (deliverance), and not conspiring with the infamous man). When Dan ministers deliverance to local sinners, famous sinners, and Christians, he is at best praying for them, and at worst doing witchcraft (ritual work) on them. Either way he is not ministering God’s Word or Spirit to them, not walking in total obedience or being directed or empowered by the Holy Spirit himself.
